Best triad lessons on KZbin. Well worth signing up for this guy’s Patreon to get the extras. He’s meticulous creating his tab for reference and makes fun backing tracks. Lots of great songs you can’t find taught elsewhere too!

Never stop banging on about triads!!! After 20+ years of being a hack guitar player I'm finally learning how chords are constructed and the vital importance of triads, and how much easier it is to sound good and melodic and be more creative in both melodies, leads, and rhythm when you really know and understand triads. The hard work has enormous payoff!!!

By far my favorite guitar teacher on KZbin. The best explanations and exercises and great taste in music. Thank you Adrian !

Adrian, this is perfect. I for one, cannot get enough of these triad lessons. This is foundational and essential to unlocking the mystery of the fretboard. Also, I assure you that it is fun enough. Thank you for your brilliant lessons.

Very handy lesson. Some of these I've used for years, but you've opened my eyes to many other possibilities I just hadn't thought of using. It could also be a nice way to learn to aproach double stops.

I have been playing guitar for 26 years, and if I had a teacher of your caliber decades ago I would be so much better! Man…bravo!! Oh and you’re such a fantastic player too. The old saying “those who can’t do teach” does not apply. Really tasteful

This is it, the lesson I've been looking for to actually apply the triads. I've been trying to find someone to lay out all the permutations and everyone wants to just cover one dimension of it. This is it. Thank you so much!

@@baabaabaa-ElUnlike a lot and I mean a lot of YT teachers this guy always keeps it simple and doesn't go out to impress you with his own magnificence, no ego, no BS just straight up honest guitar teaching.

First, that Trent guitar looks really nice. Very nice instructional video. I learned some basics on triads then built an instrumental song around it having a world-class guitarist improvise over the triad progression. It was a very pleasant and critically acclaimed song. Thanks.

The twisted logic of the fretboard 😂😂😂 love your deadpan sense of humour, it makes that kind of lessons more enjoyable!!! This video really condenses lots of very useful info, many thanks for sharing all that knowledge

Absolutely fantastic Adrian! I’ll definitely be using this in my daily practice for a while. I love the idea of “melodic theory exercises” - learning to play musically by using underlying theory (whether caged or thirds or triads etc)

Fantastic lesson, an excellent companion to your earlier triad videos (major, minor, inversions, I-IV-V). I started in on this one and builds on those earlier ones from different angles, with many "aha" moments. Together these are a great contribution Adrian - thank you! .

This was a wonderful lesson. My problem has been my inability to organize the fretboard in any meaningful way. I think this will be the very tool I need to reconcile that, though I think it will take be quite a bit of time to become fluent. For someone with no inherent natural ability, I think this may be a breakthrough for me. Thanks!

Triads, knowledge of the major scale are “key” (forgive the pun) to fluent guitar playing. If you can visualise these as you play it opens up the fretboard and gives you confidence.
