Just started this course today. A dream come true…learning funk guitar so I can play the hits of my childhood. Very well presented so far.

well if youre a beginner dont expect to learn playing funk to be an easy feat. even if youre good at guitar its still going to be hard. coming up with your own riffs at least
@meadish2 ай бұрын
@@neonknight-1522 Not a beginner. The brainstem stroke I had last year didn't help and may have had a great deal to do with how challenging this course was - I put down the guitar a couple of months ago, because practicing without improvement is too much of a mindf*ck after over a year - it was for me anyway. So, moral of the story: Don't have one of those, mm-k?

im primarily a metalhead, but i ve always loved ABBA and started listening to voulez vous album alot. I think that album is a absolute masterpiece. And 2 years later, now i really wanna learn disco guitar, but its hard to find a coues for it and i guess disco and funk goes hand in hand so here i am. Been playing for many years, but metal is competely different type of playing. Its gonna take a while to get that right hand technique in

I noticed Jimmy Page continuously moving his hand in time during a live performance of Rock and Roll, and it's stuck with me ever since. It's not quite as obvious as when you demonstrated it, but it's still noticable if you're watching. So don't be afraid to do that, especially if you're having trouble hearing the rhythm for whatever reason
