How do you manage to get through so many games? Never seem to find the time to focus on more than one
@BBKDRAGOONКүн бұрын
So switch has been out for about 7 years, so a lot of these games I played through years ago when they released. I'm pretty focused, when I pick a game to beat, I charge through it. I really am pretty intentional about picking games I know I want to beat (and games that are typically less than 20 hours). I love 10 ish hour games because if you put in about an hour a day you can be done in a few weeks. Also I don't really play multiplayer games anymore (you'd be amazed how much time they suck)

@@BBKDRAGOON 100%. Devs of multiplayer games develop with the assumption that the customer will provide a great deal of content for the game through interaction, so the quality of the games frequently suffer.

Great list! I absolutely loved Astral Chain! I might go back to it soon as well as Metroid Dread. But those will come after Echoes of Wisdom, of course.

Yo right on!

Metroid Dread became one of my fav games on switch very fast.

Another vote for Metroid Dread. It’s so smooth and does an amazing job modernizing the classic 2D Metroid experience in a very different way than Prime.

Echoes of Wisdom is a perfect mix between classic Zelda games and more recent Zelda games like BOTW. I'm loving it so far. The best from both world imo
@BBKDRAGOONКүн бұрын
YO you're playing it too!!! Let's go! Well said, that's a great point, it is kind of like TotK, little botw, little link's awakening. I really hope we get more 2.5d zelda games like this. Also zelda as main character for next mainline game would be rad!

Astral chain I still want to play. I have gone back to a few games and emulation has helped me get into nintendos library which I find to be something I definitely missed as an adult. Nintendo games are what I grew up with until Xbox and PlayStation 2 became apart of my console rotation with GameCube. GameCube was my last mainline Nintendo console and I had too much fomo over switch 2 coming out that I missed out on switch… . I played GBA heavy, and some ds and some 3ds but I got emulators of those and Wii U now!

Dude Nintendo is the goat, loved the PS2 era, loved 360, but for my whole life, Nintendo still pushing out some incredible titles that are just joyful. Cheers and stoked to hear about the GBA and Wii U hype!

Unfortunately, there's no guarantee Switch 1 games (assuming they are compatible with Switch 2) will be improved in any way on the new hardware. It would require the developers to patch the games and I don't think most will bother.

Putting Dread in the thumbnail and not the video is sinister.

I don’t think you need to finish single player games before NS2. You should maximize your time in multiplayer games like Splatoon 3 and Smash before the next ones come out.

I would hope servers and online services stay up for switch 1 for a long time (pretty sure they will but hey it's nintendo)

This whole list was games that almost never go on sale.
@acoustic_sh33p49Күн бұрын
Its funny to see such a tiny list of great games cost so much... man Nintendo loves being anti-consumer.
@clarks888Сағат бұрын
All games are expensive. True others go on sale more than first party Nintendo titles, but their quality tends to be a lot higher compared to Xbox’s recent efforts for example. PlayStation has some great quality titles, but a PS5 ain’t cheap, even compared to the upcoming PS5 Pro.

Not an exclusive but I’ve been digging KOTOR on the switch

Heard such great things about kotor my whole life, I want to play someday. Had it on the original xbox I think and never got very far

I love the switch for its indies and jrpgs but tbh I've been very meh on most of the first party releases (other than XC, FE, Smash, and BotW initially). Am I the only one who does not enjoy Mario? 😅
@tedwardtre4318Күн бұрын
So I am finally finishing up on TOTK (I know I’m a bit behind) and cannot wait to play BOTW on the switch 2 if it’s backwards compatible as this game meant so much to me and gives me mad cosy vibes. Metroid has to be added to my list especially as you have mentioned it a few times now. Keep up the great content 😌

The things you guys need to understand is the regular switch isn’t going anywhere, it’s still going to be on sale after the switch 2 comes out, except at a reduced price which will make it even more enticing for many people on a budget, and it will also be getting new games still, provided that the hardware is capable of running it

I just bought smash and Mario kart. I thought they would have gone on sale but no. Learned my lesson on that one
@BBKDRAGOONКүн бұрын
Right on! Enjoy! I wish Nintendo would do some sales on their big hitters, sadly they really never do. Mario Kart has sold like 63 million units or something absolutely absurd

Are the joy-cons on the Switch really so bad? I've heard they are pretty fragile. I'm waiting for the Switch 2 as I've been toying with the first Switch at my friend's. But I do not want to buy it as I feel it's getting too old 🤔
@clarks888Сағат бұрын
Pro Controller is excellent if you play mostly docked. The joy cons are not great when you’re used to the pro or an Xbox or PS5 controller, but serviceable as a second set for travel or local multiplayer.

My personal must-plays: Metroid Dread- Not only the best game on the switch, not only the best Metroid game, but one of the best games Nintendo’s ever made. Don’t be frightened. Xenoblade 3- Weird anime community aside, it’s one of the best written games I’ve ever played. A very memorable experience, if you can get past unstable performance and some jrpg gameplay jank. Tetris 99- shocker, I like Tetris. This is something you should try if you haven’t, especially since it’s free with the online service and eventually Nintendo will shut it down.

Excellent recommendations, all spot on. I went through XC1, XC2, and XC3 on the Switch and all were absolutely incredible, although 2 was my favorite, even though I know 3 is objectively better in many ways, I just enjoyed 2's story a ton
