Thank you for these lessons. There are many arabic originated words. Like: şemsiye, memnunum, haklıydın. I am Arabic, and i am honored that lots of Arabic words are used in Turkish.

Hi Selin, Your channel is one of my favorites. I like the Turkish reflections you make about some phrases you present. Just a suggestion, Could you give us little and fast grammar hints about the complicated words like “göstermiyorsun”? Göstermek, göstermemek , ,,,, and so on. Thanks in advance

Not sure if it helps but if you know the compounding it's easier (don't know the technical terms, sorry). So: To show - Göstermek To not show - Göstermemek Bana göster - show me Bana gösterme - don't show me Then you just change the start of the sentence to whomever it regards, so: Don't / show us - Bize gösterme / göster Don't / show them - Onlara gösterme / göster This changes if you're speaking respectfully or not, in which case you use the 'they' form, making 'Bize gösterme' be 'Bize göstermeyin' or 'Bize göstermeyiniz lütfen'.

Boran Tatli Thank you Boran, I mentioned “ göstermek” as an example only. If she can make it as a routine for such words as you did, it would be very helpful.

@@ahmedman5385 No problem. The same also goes for some other words similar to 'to see', like 'to go' (gitmek, git, gitme) or to eat (yemek, ye, yeme), or their polite form, gitmeyin and yemeyin, if that helps. Best of luck on your studies.
