Also, the following ones work on the Vita, but have to be downloaded to the PS3 and transfered to the Vita to work: Burnout Legends, Sega Genesis Collection, and Tomb Raider Anniversary. You have to do this with the two Capcom collections too, which were mentioned in the video and I also fully recommend. I hope all of these are still in the digital store... I bought some of them a while back, so I am not 100% sure about all of them being still available with all of the delisting of games that has happened over the years. People need to be aware that there's a Firefox plugin going around that allows you to access the old PS web store. Meaning a lot of these games that have vanished from our Vita storefronts can still be purchased. Just install the plugin on your laptop or whatever, which now works with all store regions, log in, make your purchases and they should be visible in your history on your Vita itself to download. Saves a lot of time and lets you buy stuff like Afterburner Black Falcon, Burnout Legends, etc. Be sure to grab the Ys games while you're there too. Either that or just jailbreak the damn thing.

Vice City Stories was removed from the North American store, so that one is unavailable; the other two are available. Also, be warned that, in North America, Motorstorm Arctic Edge doesn't transfer from the PS3 to the Vita, so only buy it if you are going to play it on PSP hardware. I don't say this from experience, but I did read an account of people who bought it and couldn't transfer it to their Vitas here in the States. I think this game may only still be live elsewhere.

Since then however, it no longer works (other than on the PSP handheld itself), even if downloaded onto the PS3 hard-drive first. Also, it doesn't show-up on the VITA Storefront or is it downloadable from your 'Downloads List' in the Account Section. I'd plug "Summon Night 5" and "Fate Extra" as must-own PSP games for those who haven't played them. "Summon Night 5" is a strategy game with visual novel elements that takes place in a fantasy with a fascinating twist: what if a Pokemon-like world had evolved into a society where the humans and "monsters" had equal rights and were partners? "Fate Extra" is a really excellent turn-based RPG set in the same fictional universe that created the "Fate Extella" series on Vita, and it's really worthwhile to get a better understanding of the story.

I'd have to agree, while I am disappointed in the lack of a career the Driving Challenges (obviously Licenses) are still well made (I enjoy the license tests as they are a good sectional/full lap challenge anyways) and collecting Cars with GT4 like controls and graphics is fun. I do miss some tracks that weren't finished and are only accessible through hacking but for what they could pull off I am still impressed every time I pick it up. The only issues I have is that grinding for credits using either Drift or Arcade mode once you have done them enough times can be boring. Getting from D to S rank is really easy and otherwise while collecting 800 cars is fine the Shop system while a cool spin on things can go either way and I find myself taking breaks to as it gets turning trying to get about 1 to 2 million just to get the lower level cars and pick up whatever is possible out of the 4 manufacturers offered. Not having upgrades is understandable (though would have been nice as a reason to add some progression and incentive due to no career and not just waiting for the next cars to appear in the 4 stores) and tweaking the settings is still good to have. Saving (manual and auto) only happening on the Main Menu is the part I hate the most out of the whole game. If they tweaked it I'd be more happy and not needing to consider a grind approach if my PSP's battery keeps running out after a few hours. Overall it was a fine portable designed version of a GT game but yeah the more I've seen others on the handheld (Arcade like Outrun 2006, Ridge Racer PSP 1 & 2 or Sim like Need For Speed Shift or Race Driver 2006) it does stand out very much compared to them without a career mode and content, but it is a good game for collecting cars or brief sessions of races/drifts/time trails with the excellent GT quality physics engine even if I prefer GT3's physics over GT4's I still enjoy having it on the PSP. If I were comparing to Emulation I'd say playing the GT PS1 & PS2 games (if can get running) on a Phone is much better but still great we got a GT game on the PSP than nothing. Sad not for the Vita though, 3 WRC games is something but nothing else I've found fits the Sim sort of feeling on Vita.

Outrun 2006 is pretty awesome and you can link your PSP with your PS2 via USB to update your save data between home console and portable versions of the game, also The Third Birthday is a little beautiful game, bit a little niche, but if you're interested in Parasite Eve, not PE 1 & 2 are available for PSP and Vita, well I haven't checked them recently but that's how I discovered and played the trilogy.

Yeah, it does show in the North American store if you browse on the PS3, but it only says it is for the PSP. Unfortunately, it isn't one of the games that transfers to the Vita here, so yeah... it was a bummer for me, because I really wanted it. I think I read something about it being delisted for the Vita ages ago because of some hacking exploit or something... so I think it did used to be a North American Vita title.

Good options. I'd say for Puzzle games EchoChrome (focusing on perspective and you can move the character behind walls that block gaps) and EchoShift (focuses on different coloured buttons/doors, multiple versions of the character and timing it right to unlock and move to each section of the level and trying to make it to the exit door) are really good (just like LocoRoco/Patapon great games from Japan Studio). Coded Arms is not a great FPS but still interesting for a launch title in the US and has procedural generation so you never know what level up items/abilities/ammo/grenades drops, enemies and room design you'll get. The room and corridor designs aren't great but still interesting for the PSP, Coded Arms Contagion is a more linear typical FPS without the procedural generation and probably the one to go with out of the two. I'd say the two PSP Metal of Honor games are better options for FPS on the PSP but for something different thought I'd bring it up Coded Arms games as not many people mention them for FPS games on the system. Ridge Racer 2 or Outrun 2006 are probably the 2 Arcade Racers I enjoyed, Wip3out Pulse was fun, GT on PSP was a disappointment so exploring more sim campaign types via an Emulator (Race Driver 2006 and Need For Speed Shift). Killzone Liberation is a fine Isometric (birds eye view) shooter, but I don't hear many talk about SWAT Target Liberty a more strategic focus on that Isometric shooter concept but obviously with a focus on characters that are part of a SWAT team. I don't know much about the SWAT series as I think most were on PC, only played SWAT 4 on PC briefly once and otherwise just own Target Liberty and it's pretty good trying to work my way through different areas using smoke/light under the doors to prepare for enemies behind them, getting information from hostages (most useless responses from the NPCs) and using the 2 team mates for certain commands. Not the best tactical shooter I've ever played but still something different I'd say if people want maybe something different from the SOCOM games approach to tactical shooters. Minis also I think get overlooked. Edge is a great Puzzle game where you move a block through obstacle courses, Zombie Tycoon is an interesting Strategy game to have very limited or when attacking Hospitals can gain more units to accomplish level specific tasks, and NOVA is a FPS that has a Sci-fi like feel in a Halo gameplay sort of way (that's what many compare it to, I'm still making my way through it). I have very little experience with the PSP (only started collected in the last few years besides having a small collection when I got mine in 2007) so mostly exploring more for it on an emulator before picking up some physical or considering getting them through the EU stores.

Crisis Core 6. Tekken games 7. Dissidia Doudecium 012 8. Monster Hunter p3rd with an English path.... I played it like crazy back then. This game was honestly the best looking PSP game, Im amazed how good it was looking. Honestly all games I mentioned are no. 1 for me. @2old4gaming3 жыл бұрын
You map buttons to the analog stick. So it can technically work for any game but it won’t play well with most. It’s best for 3D games with camera control
@KabukiKid3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if you boot up a PSP game on the Vita, hold down the blue PS button and it opens up menus where you can map the second stick to a bunch of options. Like already mentioned, this works best probably with 3D games where a stick to move the camera makes the most sense.
