Zach is the absolute best! I paid to make an appointment with him to go through all my questions and he took over a dozen questions and answered them all quickly and thoroughly. I'd recommend anyone who is serious about getting into the business and want to do it right to schedule some time with him!

Can you get an example of a contract for the driver to protect the business. For example what happens if he crashes the truck being a 1099 contractor or if he gets paid if he leaves the vehicle and quits.

Zach, one question, just one. What happened if you have owner operators leased to your authority?
@joshuayoung99132 жыл бұрын
A lot off ppl do that to age their own authority and they pay the company a percentage of each load for running under them. But I personally wouldn’t do it.
@BookkeepingExpert2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend having a lot of paperwork to cover all liability!
@IRAKLICHIKHLADZE2 жыл бұрын
@@joshuayoung9913 Josh, how about an independent contractor framework for trucking. What would you say if a 3pl company with authority would operate based on an independent contractor framework?
@IRAKLICHIKHLADZE2 жыл бұрын
@@BookkeepingExpert Zach, I would like to discuss with you the format of the trucking business with as diversified as possible liabilities. Would you consider it reasonable to operate the business as a 3PL authority but instead of asset-based trucking turn it to the contract-based operation? Considering the box truck business of course?

I pay 55 cents/mile but that is way too much. 45 cents/mile is a much better starting rate to pay a non CDL driver
@BookkeepingExpert3 ай бұрын
I think like 40 cents per mile

When owing a box truck do you have worry about IFTA I think that's what you called it for miles. Or is it just for cdl drivers.

IFTA is only for CDL

What are your thoughts about paying a driver 25% after fuel?
@BookkeepingExpert2 жыл бұрын
Fuel cost is about 15-25% of revenue so you’ll basically just be paying your driver 25% of 75% which is close to 20% and is on the low end of a fair rate.

@@BookkeepingExpert of course you know its all about your long term goals. If you want to sell for semi its great idea or just for profits if you want to reduce trucks you have. Easily you can sell for 55k and this is without me know year, make, model and mileage. This goes up to 75k depending on those details
