Fading down, is the way. Even for new barbers in my honest opinion.. ever since I found Jo, the way he taught it was simple. Appreciate the vids! The talk overs, talk during, any video really you drop has taught me a lot

I been learning how to cut my hair on myself for about 4 months or less.. (other than my nephew just confident yet) but it’s a lot of fuck ups that I’ve been thru and a lot of “how to fix..” vids and i couldn’t manage to understand what they were tryna teach.. this my first time watching a tutorial video of yours and bro i appreciate you for being you even infront of a camera , you just know when someone is being authentic. Moral of the story I’m bouta touch up my hair bc I learned somethin! Thank you bro 🙏🏼

Well I’m hoping I can imply what you’re teaching to a self cut method bc I know it’s a difference from cutting yourself than cutting someone else’s hair but still you taught me sumn🙏🏼💯

Halfway through this video, love seeing your fading technique. There's a definite step up in video quality for sure. If your videographer is open to feedback: as there's a lot more motion in this video style as opposed to sitting still on a tripod, the image is naturally a bit more jerky. One suggestion I can think of is to deepen the aperture slightly as there's no need for a super shallow depth of field on video which has quite a bit of movement, and it takes long to lock focus for shallow the depth of field. F stop 4 and above will produce a nice video IMO and will assist you in maintaining a decent level of focus, so the video won't struggle to hunt for focus as you're moving around. Not a criticism, just posting this if it is of any use and helps you improve going forward. That being said, this focus problem was only apparent in the beginning of the video, the remainder of the video was perfect to be fair. My bad gang.... 😂

I woud love to see relly CloseUp fade technik for the zero line wich for me as a new noob barber is the most strugle it took me alot of time to realize tou shoud actually go IN with your "no guard" lever half way for example I allways thought you shoud touch only the edge of the line with all the lever position .... if I knew that I might be better faster but NoOne actually explain this Respect Bro!!
@JosCuts6 ай бұрын
I’ll try to do a closer up on the next couple Vidoes so you can really see it more! The no guard lever open should be about a DIME up from the 0 line. Get a dime and that’s how big the line should be… don’t be scared to cut hair when I first started I was scared to go too high… you’re going to mess up but that’s how you learn. Don’t be scared and cut the hair 🙏🏽

Bro I liked your way because you don't try to hide what really matters which is the motion of the clipper and the way you hold it, BTW i have a confusing question at least for me, does (flicking out) mean c motion?
@josesaintsfitnesschavez25256 ай бұрын
Yes it does mean that
@JosCuts6 ай бұрын
Flicking out definitely means C motion but a very specific C Motion I’ll go in depth in a future video 🙏🏽
