One wonderful caveat I kept from SPanish I was this: How you feel and where you are is how you use the verb estar. It's fundamental - i mean, it was Spanish I - but it's been useful.

Creo que la confusión viene de las muchas traducciones de "to be." El contexto es la única forma de saber qué verbo debes usar. Buen vídeo.

AYE MAURITA! I remember saying "que esta por cena?" (had a couple mistakes there) And a friend corrected me to say "Que hay para cena?"I remembered how to say it, but didn't know why. Thanks the explanation. 2 more things , I have a friend that told me they had a hard time understanding "kind-a", or "kind-of" when learning English. Are there Spanish equivalents for words expressing vagueness , kind of, somewhat, etc? And lastly, do you know any channels like yours that teach English to Spainsh speakers? Sorry soo long

¡Holis! That was a good correction. "Kind of" could be: más o menos, casi o casi-casi. Those are the ones I say the most. I hope that helps! I'm sorry I learned English a long time ago and I don't have good recommendations for that today. 😅Big hug! =)=)=)

Why do Spanish speakers begin every other sentence with « entonces? »

I think it’s mostly a filler, like “so…..” or “like” that English speakers (at least in the US) us very frequently to start scentences.
