Hola Angeline, gracias por tu buena vibra! El apartamento lo conseguimos por Facebook market. Alli puedes ver apartamentos por precios en la zona que deseas. Luego de llamar a un par de opciones empezamos a visitarlos y este fue uno de los que mas nos gusto, especialmente por la cercania al metro. Un saludo y Arriba Perú! 🇵🇪

Hola consejo: si su depa no incluye servicios , dejen la calefacción a 19 si se sube más llega más caro la calefacción nos confiamos al principio nos llegó carísima en diciembre 😅 estoy en Montreal también

I wish you the best, but I don’t know. There is a reason why rents are so affordable in Montreal. The economic climate is terrible. Successive governments have driven away most big corporations because of language laws and taxes. You’ll learn French easily and fluently because it’s closely related to Spanish, but still Quebecois will always treat you as an outsider. There are Anglos whose family have lived in Quebec for 100 or 150 years, whose kids and grandkids speak both English and French at native level fluency, and the Quebecois still treat them as outsiders. There is a reason why most immigrants choose Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary in spite of their higher costs. Montreal is a great city to visit. I love the food, the diversity, the architecture, but a terrible place to live. Wishing you all the best.

Hi @DonaldMains, thank you for your sincere message, I appreciate it! I don't know more about the politics here, but I'm curious, it seems to be a strong topic. I do feel the language barrier will always be present, I'm not sure if its because of the language itself or the cultural differences behind it (maybe its a bit of both?). I experienced a similar situation during my first months/years in Canada with the English language, while adapting and learning more about the culture. Part of the "problem" was because of me; as someone whose English wasn't the first language, I had to work hard to gain that confidence to start interacting more natural with locals. Over the years, I was able to integrate more and more with anglophones Canadians, but never felt I was able to adapt 100% and that's OK for me. That's not something I intent to do. I like to have those small differences, to be able to learn always from them, and also show 1 or 2 things about my journey as an immigrant. I haven't been much in Montreal to speak about the integration here with the language/culture, but I see a bit what you mention, I see some pride taking over with French language. I understand there is a bit of protectionism for the language, to preserve it and not lose it. I respect that. I'm working hard to improve my French, to learn more about the culture here, but I know that same than happen before, I will never be able to integrate 100% to the Quebecois culture, and to be honest I like that. Differences and multiculturism is what attracted me to this country. As long as there is respect and not room for any kind of discrimination, I'll be happy to continue my journey adapting and learning from locals.
