You start from a point whose coordinates are known, if non is in existence, you can establish one.

This teaching, while good, may explain basic traverse calcs but has nothing to do with establishing control. In this example control was given by “another company”.

Thanks, you establish control by placing nails on the ground around the site, then simply measure internal angles and distances between the points. We will place a spreadsheet program in our website soon.
