Went to an estate sale on their last day, followed your advice: look, under tables, open boxes and open all folders. Low and behold, I found a folder, amongst worthless paper, that was loaded with collector sheets of USPS stamps from 1990’s - 2007. Just face value of the stamps was over $500…not including the collector factor…I paid $10 dollars for the entire lot. Love you videos! Thanks for ensuring you don’t have to be first in line to end up with a great item!

There’s big money in old furniture. I used to sell 501s to a guy about 25ish years ago, but his main business was dealing in vintage furniture. He was doing really well back in the day.

Oh yes, I agree. We have flipped old furniture here and there and I have done many videos showing this. But right now, heading into fall and winter is not a good time for us to be storing furniture pieces on the East Coast.

It totally depends on the dealer. Some are, some aren't. This was a family run sale and they remained strict with most prices although I did get a deal in the end. lol on Mrs. PT.

Years ago when I was out vintage and thrift shopping, the prices were low. i just bought for myself. Now that everyone is reselling what they consider collectable and trying to make a profit, the prices have gone sky high. Just the sign of the times with everyone being a reseller. The old days are gone for sure! Not complaining just been around antiques for quite awhile and have seen the changes.

I wonder why people put rare vintage at the front of their listing title. If eBay is like SEO standards, from which I believe it is, then the more important words should go at the beginning. Plus, who searches rare vintage hippolyte statue? Just saying, I used to do a lot of SEO work and just dont believe putting common words in the front title helps. The words at the beginning are given heavier weight to the listing.
