I’ve been out of esti school for 2 years & really lost my passion for becoming an esti bc the licensing process has been so long, horrible & unprofessional (it’s a long story) but I was finally able to take my written test & I PASSED!!!! I was so unbelievably scared but it was honestly all bc of your channel & I just have to take my practical then I’m finally done!!! I just want to thank you a million times I would have not passed my first test if it wasn’t for all your hard & dedicated work. It does not go unnoticed. Greetings can you please tell me with the virtual testing in Texas and practical in Texas and a few other states such as Tennessee, Michigan 🥰👌🏼🤔. Can you please tell us for the practical what are the new PSI state board practical requirements for estheticians 2022. Michigan just upgraded to practical where they now have to take the written national. Exam similar like it is in Texas, so we would love for you to tell us what might be some of the updated requirements when doing virtual testing where you can take it in your home or at your school?? And if you can please do a new practical that shows people if they were doing it in their home what requirements is it to set up and do the practical?? Hi Leo Thank you for the support, all of my theory written state board preparation videos can assist any student in any state as information is standard knowledge in Esthetician/Cosmetology. The only feedback I can provide regarding the virtual written testing from your personal computer will be, that you are doing it in a quiet space without distractions and no one will be allowed in the room with you and of course no study material they will most likely have you “scan” the room to make sure no one is with you.. if they (rater)notice anything suspicious they can stop the test even if it virtually. As far as the practical goes same rules would apply students have to have a table with items needed to perform all steps and yes someone is watching you perform the entire test. As you know i am in Texas and all info that I have for practical is based on the Texas test only I would hate to give wrong information as I’m not familiar with other states requirements for the practical portion. I’m sure you will be prepared and pass with no issues 🫶🏼🍀🍀🍀

What do you think about this book: Milad’s standard aesthetic Fundamental it’s a old one from 2011 I learned a while ago and have the 600 hours but didn’t pass the test and starting all over now with the learning for the test.

That’s book has mostly same information except they took the infection control out and put into a separate book, if you are not able to buy the new book keep what you have but consider going over the theory chapters I have on the esthetician playlist that is the new book information

Hello, I am in Texas and they do not have a masters Aesthetician exam it consist of one general test. The information on all of the study guides and practice test are general standard across the states , does some of the information look and sound familiar to you? In Texas students do 750 hours the programs as a whole focus on Facial treatments, Skin Histology and physiology , Hair removal, Diseases and Disorders , Skin Analysis, Skin care ingredients, Facial machines, Electricity/chemistry, Chemical peels , makeup, Infection Control and knowing laws rules and regulations in our field.

Hi Jen There are several websites that offer continuing education hours online , I use EASYLR24.com it’s super easy and very affordable they also give you coupon code to use makes it less than $20 , there are also schools that offer the classes in person for that if you are in Texas the tdlr website has a list of places that offers them and of course you would have to call. If you decide to do it online follow the instructions, once you complete the hours they notify the state that you did it, you will than go on the state site and pay for the renewal fee and that’s pretty much it you will get the new on in the mail. And yes definitely will put this on my todo video list 😊

Once you get your license, is renewing it the same process as renewing your DL? Where all you have to do is update/confirm info and pay a fee or is it required retake the test all over again?

Once it’s time to renew, if you are in Texas you have to do 4 hours of continuing education hours and pay for the new license that’s about it.

Omg. I think I found a mistake?? At question 15, it says positive(anode) and cathode(negative). Which I knew did not look right, I looked in my notes and that’s not what I had.
