@@sarahberkner [I'm ESTJ and INTPs aren't stupid but could be impractical.] Thank you! I'm grateful that you can acknowlege our strength. Yes we're not flawless, & should work hard to rectify our shortcomings. [I don't get it when people stay at jobs they can't do or that they hate.] I'm presently in this Exact situation. I'll try my best to explain... Ideally, I'd much rather make a career out of my creative work (artist, writer, programmer), & I'm hard at work towards making this a reality. Until then however, I'm stuck at my pointless dead-end job (under an ISTJ boss 😮💨). As adults, we just have to make ends meet, regardless of whether or not our hearts are in it. INTPs are fiercely independent & incapable of compromising our visions. Unless our employers are in tune with our creative frequencies, even 'creative' jobs under tyranical managements would threaten to break our spirits. If INTPs were birds in cages, we would literaly slam our bodies repeatedly against the cage walls for the vain hopes of freedom. Sure it's not the smart approach, but captivity would eventually break our minds. We would lose all our beautiful feathers, & end up as a deranged & unsightly mess - the latter unfortunately being how many unhealthy xSTJs perceive us. As an INTJ I must admit that we can't control the movement of our eyes at all. They are either completely transparent when we are displeased, or grossly misleading. I've had multiple people ask me why I was so angry, when I was just staring into space in their direction or trying to make eye contact and feign attention to what they were saying. I've actually been told that my stare can kill 2000 elephants. Also the fact that the ESTJ publicly disclosed that they wanted to control the INTJ would probably lead to the INTJ finally quitting right after.

Most were impressed by my work ethic, speed and knowledge, but at the same time they also struggled a lot with my need to be able to choose my own way of doing things and be as independent as possible. As always, it depends on the person itself and how open-minded and self-reflected they are. If an ESTJ can’t adapt to other people, they will be a plain in the ass most of the time, if they can, they can actually be cool and get along fine with other types. It wasn't until we were both well into our thirties that I was finally able to process and accept that it was (and largely still is) her way of showing how much she cares. These days, I typically hear from her when she needs to vent about how people (most often our xSFJ parents) are frustrating her and how nonsensical their decisions are. I can hear her out and understand where she's coming from, and sometimes even agree... but even when I don't agree, I can accept that she's entitled to her feelings and opinions and give her validation and a shoulder to lean on. She and I get along well enough now. Blood is thicker than MBTI. I worked for an ESTJ for over a decade. Close quarters office work. So, am I hearing this correctly? You have both of the Ni doms next to each other and closest to you at your office? I don't know if that's the best of ideas. They're absolutely plotting against you; and you're never going to see it coming with the INFJ's polite smile and ability to tell you exactly what you want to hear while obfuscating their true intentions. And that would generally be fine normally, but you gotta know that the INTJ is feeding their neighbor a whole host of plots and ideas for ways to overthrow you. Now, granted, the chances of them actually going through with any of their schemes is low. But, if any combination of ENTJ, ENTP or ESTP overhear any of those conversations between those two... Yeah... They may enact those plans themselves, either out of ambition or "for the luls." And then there is the worry that the ENFP may have taken the INFJ and INTJ under their win as their "pet introverts." So there's that very real concern as well. Especially if/when they convince the ENFP how "fun", "exciting" and "creative" their plans are. Seriously! You have the two best quiet manipulators next to each other and you will never see the consequences of this horrific mistake coming. My suggestion: Grab a bottle of some "fake tears" that are used to deal with severe dry eye and then precede to befriend the ENFJ. You should be able to employ them as a lookout because, if I know anything about ENFJ's, is they LOVE to "unpack" INXXs. And, at the very least, the INFJ can easily fall victim to that.

S. Joseph channel. It's the best I found until now. Search for C. S. Joseph season 1. In season 3 he explains each personality type VERY in depth, talks about how their cognitive fuctions synergies and their meanings based on the position on the stack. In season 15 he explain a better method to type people based on their temperaments and interaction styles. Before the ISTJ boss hired an ESTJ to supervise us, I was not only comming in 2 hours early, but I was basically incharge of the team when there was nobody else because I was the only one who knew how to do their job. After the ESTJ came along, in spite of all hope, she started blaming me for everyone else's stuff, even when the other employees owned up to the accusations she threw at me. Even then, she still kept insisting on blaming and harassing me. I even raised several complaints against her, along with other employees she's been harassing. But the ISTJ bods kept insisting she was in the right because she wasn't actually trying to do what everyone else was accusing her of. I even brought up texts proving when she was blatantly lying, but the store manager Mike kept insisting I was making stuff up and telling everyone to ignore me. I might not be the most analytically brilliant, but since I worked my way up from customer support, I always imagine other people using the things I create, so a sensible UI, comprehensible error messages, little conveniences, I'd like to think I'm good at making user-friendly solutions. But I admit working from home full time can be a challenge due to my relative lack of self-discipline. Sometimes I'm more productive without all the endless noise but sometimes I need to force myself to go back in the office just to enjoy the atmosphere and casual chats, and as a means of preventing myself from playing games to procrastinate trying to decipher that one spec or working on that one thing that never seems to want to work for some reason, lol. I don't think I want to be a manager either though. Give me technically demanding work, sure, but don't make me responsible for co-ordinating a whole ass team of people. I'll do it if I have to - grudgingly - but it doesn't appeal to me. I often wonder though that if I never grew up surrounded by technology I'd have some kind of language-based job. This is my first dear kristin video! Thank you for this cool video, Kristin! I am estj and i usually agree with (negative) stereotypes. I definitely could be more emotionally healthy and people have told me i struggle too much with anger. And I can see i am controlling. I laughed when she was describing the refreshments at the start in a brisk manner. I mean, refreshments are important. Then she went right into business. I understand making things fit exactly, like 3 employee of the month awards in a year. Potential: meeting targets. YES. I am usually wrong. If what I said was wrong, i just need to be corrected and i will try to adjust to the correct path. I like to say my opinion (I always try to remind myself to shut up, because most of the time, I won't be shutting up), but it doesn't mean people should follow it. I am (okay, okay) angry that this estj said they have to work overtime, weekends. Everyone knows it's way more efficient if everyone is happy and healthy and doesn't work overtime and weekends. I hope she is also strictly making sure everyone has enough breaks. This way, they are able to work for more of their life, if that is what they chose. Plus, they'll be more energized and motivated to get more done in the time they are at work. Also, I feel like humans should be respected and work just the right amount; full of fairness and no taking advantage. 1:45 Tears are okay. Everyone has emotions. I have often been frustrated at work. It took me a while to appreciate that she listed them north to south. I believe it is because everyone gets their turn in order. I Maybe she seated them according to how efficiently they can work with their neighbor and help each other. Are those the mbti official colors? I think they match well. Everyone was in their correct ranks. Entp: I wasn't like this when I was younger, but I also now believe in down with the establishment: meaning, I wish for more financial equality. But I still believe in leadership roles, if the leaders are effective. 4:26 Enfj. Proof (cctv)is good but yikes. She is way too controlling over the enfj. People don't have to constantly churn out work. Everyone has waves of productivity. 5:19 Istj. That is so gross. Why is she so smarmy and wanting people to suck up? 5:34 entj i would need the challenges in a list once a day, not incessantly 6:12 Infj. So accurate Infjs are definitely the best.
