That nod from Mr Hicks around 2:01 says it all. Better then a Grammy. Good to see Joey get the acclaim he has long deserved.

Knew Joey a long time ago when we lived on Meadowbrook Dr. It's such a great joy to watch you play with Bobby Hicks. May and you family be Blessed all the days of Your lives. Joe Carterl

Anthony Robledo - it is a beautiful melody. Are you looking for the standard notation or looking for a version with lyrics?

I love Joey's playing, but I wish he'd used a different guitar here...

I love Joey's playing too What do you mean, like what type of guitar? I just wish he was facing the camera I heard he lives real close to me in Burleson, a suburb of Fort Worth I've seen him at the guitar shows (I have a real cool video of him whistling a tune while accompanying himself I'm going to post) I IM'ed him once asking for a lesson but he never replied A local guitar great from also around here told me that he was invited to a party Joey had and that he had Redd Volkart sitting in that night I'd like to see that video

@@cgptony11 I just think the sound is thin, & I wish he had a fuller sound. I'd probably hand him a dreadnought instead.

I love this video: I'm guessing Joey's guitar is an unplugged electric and he's playing a bit harder than if it were plugged into an amp: because of that, his articulation is easier to hear, especially the little "Eldon runs" - and I think Bobby is playing with a slightly shorter bow (less aggressive) to balance the mix a bit.

@@cgptony11 - hey, reach out to Joey again, I think your messages must have fallen thru the cracks! There is a recent video with Redd at Joey's facebook page, just scroll down a bit and you'll see it there.🙂 Sherry
