ESU is second to none in the model train world and as a European company they have instructions on their website in several languages . Still I must admit Emma’s mesmerizing voice makes things a lot more interesting 👍

Thanks Mark. We finally got a nice day here. Got to make the most of them before summer. This has been a very cold spring, I am sitting here with the heater going when I would usually have the air conditioner blasting

Nice one Bear. I've got some strips of these leds to use on the HO and G scale. I'll look into getting one those programmers. Cheers...Tom

Thanks Tom. Not sure what programmer you mean, I just use my Ecos. Any DCC controller should work with them.

Thank you for the information, great work. One question, can the strengt if the rear read lights be asjusted separatly also and if so how? 🤔 Regards from Sweden 🇸🇪
@BearsTrains3 жыл бұрын
I think the brightness can be adjusted for whatever CV is used for the rear lights. Can't remember what CV runs the rear lights, it would be in the documentation somewhere

Hi Bear, excellent idea, will have to get some. Just a couple of questions, how are they powered, do you have to wire them to pickups on the wheels of the carriages? If yes do you have to add something to the wheels of the carriages to pickup power from the track?...Simon
@BearsTrains7 жыл бұрын
Hi Simon. Yes, the power comes from the track so any carriages you fit will have to have pickups from the wheels. There are kits available (DCC Concepts sell one I think). The railcar I fitted mine to already had lights fed directly from the track (so they were on all the time) so it was basically a clean swap.

Many thanks, do you know what the kit is called to take power from the track?..>Simon

These are the ones I was thinking of. www.dccconcepts.com/product/pickup-wiper-12-pack/ I recall seeing similar ones from ESU www.esu.eu/en/products/interior-lighting-sets/wheel-wipers-powerpack/ I also bought some DC LEDs rom Ebay that came with the pickups. www.ebay.com.au/itm/UNIVERSAL-LIGHTS-FOR-ROCO-PIKO-FLEISCHMANN-MARKLIN-WAGONS-/391903683260? Haven't fitted them to anything yet but they have a resistor fitted so they will run straight 12V DC. Just have to fit a decoder in between the pick up and the LEDs, but when I added the cost of a cheap decoder to the lights, it was cheaper to get the ESU ones

Many thanks, just bought some, plus two sets of lights for my DMU. Will buy more if I like them, which I am sure I will. Thanks again for all your help...Simon

Wonderful work, thanks. Now If only they would miniaturize this further so I could use it in n scale without cutting off and discarding 3 zones!
