In that case, after inserting [1][2][3] citations, select all these at once and merge citation will appear in place of the mendeley icon -} click on that -} Now it should be [1,2,3]

It feels like I'm using Mendeley wrong because of how inconvenient it is to add papers from my pc. What I want is for Mendeley to watch a folder and automatically add anything new that I put in the folder, because it's really hard to keep track of that otherwise. Mendeley Desktop used to have this functionality, so why was it removed?

Hello dear. I am deleting one reference from the word file after adding it from the Mendeley Reference Manager, however my reference numbers are not renumbered automatically. I mean if i delete the reference number 9 than reference number 10 should be renumbered as Reference 9. Please tell me how to do it.

Try to Refresh References: Select the 'More' menu in the Mendeley Cite add-in window and select the ‘Refresh References' button in the drop down menu. Mendeley Cite will update all references in your document, as well as the bibliography, with any changes you have made in your library. Or else, may need to check your Word Plug-ins/Add-ons (may remove and reinstall), Regards
