Etain is the hero of the film. I was rooting for her from the start. She is a true Warrior Goddess. I love how they did not give her a single moment of weakness or compassion - her heart is like a coil of barbed wire. Her contempt and her relentless anger are terrifying (and a little thrilling!) One of the greatest Female roles in modern cinema and Olga does it great justice. Respect to her, and to you for making this video.

This is great, Etain as a character stands as my highest inspieration for a Celt woman in a book i'm writing, Etain is a seriosuly underated character in film, especially as she portrays such a strong woman. the actress did a fantastic job, sometimes the best roles are the ones that don't even speak, and it shows in this film.

Been a couple of years since I watched the movie, but there was always something about her that got stuck in the back of my head. I don't think I've ever seen an actor doing sucha great job when it comes to portraying someone who is balancing between human and animal. On the other hand, kinda bummed out that you didn't include her scream but oh well.

I agree! Olga is such an amazing actress to have us fall in love with her even though she is considered a monster and since she has absolutely no lines. There is a reason I did not include the scream and that was because it shows her mouth with no tongue and I knew some immature pricks on here would comment on stuff like that. Etain was certainly a product of a tragic childhood. The fact they made her mute made her more animal like than human to me which made her even scarier

Absolutely great movie, a worthy tribute to our beloved Shewolf. the Music fits the screenplay really well. No matter what others might say, she is the hero of the movie, even if it takes a turn, and a really bad one in my opinion, after the romans meet the abandoned healer. Olga Kurylenko play a great scene here, Etain is not a (physically) very strong woman, all she does is a product of her strength of mind an her willpower and thats what in the end really matters. Never bow your head, never give up. Always fight for your revenge. This woman has inspired me more then anything else. Etains legacy lives on and in the end she will win, even if it takes a millenium.

The Romans are just men who are following orders (aside from the one of killed Gorlecons son, he's a dick) while the Picts are shown to be honerable warriors with good justification to hate the Romans. Totally 100% agree in what you say. Protecting your Homeland from an invading powerful Empire. There is definitely sympathy with the Picts like you say against an Overwhelming Empire and those Warrior Women ARE to be revered and respected through history till the present. The only thing to point out is that in the actual film, none of this would've happened if not that sly Dax killed the innocent child ( King's son), it was all on account of his treachery that the Roman Legionnaires were being hunted down in a Blood Revenge.

But if they invade Rome that's just open ground and the Romans could have maybe at least 25,000 men patrolling the peninsula and you do not fight Rome on the open field and that's the reason the lost in the forest.
