The only issue with the second win is you cant win with Molten Duplication and Dual caster off of Etali triggers unless you happen to hit them both off the same trigger from two different decks

That is wahy I needed final fortune. I get and extra turn and can reset dualcaster mage. I have molten in hand.

Do you have a video on how to set up moxfield to play on spelltable like this? I've seen a recent one created this year by another creator but they went into more advanced stuff and I just need the basic layout lol Great games btw. Etali hits were nuts

Thanks! But what you didn’t see was that Måns was a bit early with his flip, and revealed a food chain, hence my decision to cast DC, my plan was otherwise to go for rhystic at Pontus end step.

Do you think Wotc will introduce the sideboard to EDH? Making their wish cards playable.

I don't think so. We see sideboards for games with shorter rounds and with more competition-level play. Commander has long rounds and little competition-level play. I could eat my words though. Sideboards could be fun

I’m not sure I understand the second game win condition you explained. A) what’s the point of taking a second turn if all of the mages would have haste? B) Having mage in play and casting dupe on it just makes 1 mage. Plus you have to hit it in the right order off of Etali, right?

The part where Etali dosen't hit things in the correct order is why I needed an extra turn. I had molten duplication in hand. I would have dualcaster mage in play. So I needed a reset kinda. I way to just get all cards in play then use molten from hand after reseting dualcaster mage.

Also if dualcaster is in play and you simply cast duplication on it, you make a copy of dualcaster but there is nothing on the stack so it doesn’t copy itself infinitely. You need to cast dualcaster in response to molten duplication.

If the archive trap was used on the 2nd cast of squee then Mons would only have 1 creature mana in pool and one treasure in play and unable to continue the loop. So if that play was done the rest of the table and their draw engines may have found a solution to the board state. Why was this not the play?

Pontus realized he should have used mindbreak trap on the third cast before I had mana to recast squee again. But by that point he had alredy draw cards so.

That was his plan for a while but I never made infinit mana I made some and casted etali manully for a while and after more and more etali hits cards started to go away for pontus that was needed and I started to get rebuild options. In otherwords we played it out a tiny bit but that would be a bit much to watch.

Haven't watched the video so not sure if my monolouge made it I forgot due to mbt usually not stopping fc combos and being generally inattentive. But mostly due to me assuming I'd draw into esg ssg boseiju fast enough to stop the combo and then as a bonus just untapping and winning by default. And wandering archaic does nothing to stop me stopping it or winning so I don't really care

@@thechikage1091 i dont think this video is a very reliable metric for that since he kept a mull to 4 on the first game and the second game was a slow start for him too
