These stories were reprinted in black and white, in Marvel's UK comic 'Dracula Lives' - and yes, they look wonderful. 'Dracula Lives' was published in the mid 1970s, and copies can still be found on EBay. Thanks for the video!

Val is a very good artist indeed! Thanks for showing us the Legion of Monsters magazine. It was very beautiful inside and out.

Love Val. Especially his work with Harvey Pekar. That’s where he really shines because it’s all black and white. Other commenters have noted how his black and white work really shines.

Val has just turned up on my radar, I'm reading a series called Young Master from New Comics Group (1987-1988), written by Larry Hama with beautiful black and white art by Val.. Did a search and happy to find this from you!

thanks man! there are so many great artists that are overlooked and forgotten....people are too in love with the traditional guys like Kirby, Ditko, Buscema, etc....I love those guys too but I have to give prop to many of these not well known guys that did great works.

I wonder if a bunch of these have been reprinted in B& W in the Marvel Essential's Horror collection.

Definitely like the black and white over the color.
