How was Val not a STAR??? His work is AMAZING!!! I feel that if he were put on a normal sized comic we would all know his name.

tough to say really.....it is about timing and opportunity...some artists may not have worked on the right titles to get the right exposure. Another big factor is speed. When it comes to monthly work, speed is a big factor and regardless of how great one can draw, the inability to deliver 20 pages on time is a killer to a lot of artists that put in great details. Even Bernie Wrightson had a hard time doing that from what I can tell. I can't say why Val isn't a well known name but it is too bad that we didn't get to know him better at his prime.

Val didn't do a lot but I have never been disappointed with any of his works whenever I ran across any

I'm catching up on some older videos. These videos on Mayerick are 2 of the best artist spotlights you've ever done. I've read that Conan story a few times, but I'd never seen the earlier stuff. Hopefully your video brings him more recognition. Great stuff Nick!
