Looks like a great route but I am sitting this one out. The Etape this year was a disaster. Our SAS (15) left late and there was a significant traffic jam at the top of the first climb at the water station. Impossible to make the time cut after Col du Turini. Also some significant injuries and one person had to be helicoptered out to the hospital. Am doing the Marratona in July. .

I hear you Lee. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in this year's Etape. It's very disappointing after months (or years) of training. Starting in the last group is undesirable to say the least and makes it MUCH more difficult to finish. The luck of the draw, I guess. Good luck at the Maratona!

Hi Marvin, great video. You and (I guess) Franck did an awesome job filming the course. There is still hope you can become a real youtuber some day ;-) I have ridden most of the climbs in the past. The Col de Pré is a real beast, but the views on the decent are absolutely worth the suffering.

Marvin, thanks for the video - I watched it while on my trainer this morning. I would suggest working on the audio a bit. Your narration level was low compared to the music level. Also, your voice sounds very echoy. I think you need a few acoustic panels around you when you record to reduce the echo. Still enjoyed it and I hope to lose some weight and do the etape in a few years!

Thank you for the feedback @lokerola. You are right the sound quality is not great. Unfortunately I had to ride the course Wed & Thu after the announcement then immediately leave the next day on a 3-week trip to Asia. So I had to record the narration in my hotel bathroom 😢 - it was a choice of quiet with echo or noisy background 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll look for a solution when I get back. In the meantime, you can use the sub-titles, which I have corrected carefully.
