I normally leave Armour Etch on for 25-30. To me the time on bottle isnt enough and leaving it on longer makes the design pop a lil more. Great video. Have a great day/ week. Take care & happy crafting

Awesome tutorial lady! It's also cool that you show the mistakes....I probably wouldn't have so I appreciate it. Regarding adding color, I have used spray paint with great success!

I have found that dabbing blobs of the etching cream works a lot better than brushing it. Brushing it has a tendency to cause light & dark areas in it. but if you just kind of blob it and use more of a pushing motion than a stroking motion, you get a better coverage without the light and dark areas. This works especially well when you have a large open area. Such as what you had on the man swinging the golf club. Smaller areas such as the letters, you don't notice it quite as much, but whenever there's a big open area I just blob and push and try not to brush. I've never used the circuit so I'm really thinking of investing in one of those because I like making my own designs rather than always buying from etchworld. Thank you for your video.

I think yours turned out as well as can be expected. Etching takes a manual etching to truly be etched/thus the name. For a chemical etching with a fine line it turned out amazing.

You can remove the stencil before using the Rub n buff. The Rub n buff will only stick to the etched area.

Did the same thing ending with either the spotty looking results or the paint peeling. Very frustrating causing me to use half of the rub and buff because of redoing the project over and over again. For these colored etched items to sell, perfection is necessary. I did let the etching cream stay on for 30 minutes and loved results. The last attempt with acrylic paint left on for a night only to get a foggy color result. Any helpful tips will be greatly appreciated.

Same. Rub n buff ruined my glass project. I noticed that there are 2 types of gold. I think I bought the antique gold. Maybe the other gold shade would work better? I’ve also seen projects using rub n buff and they’ve turned out great.
