I had to learn this piece as soon as I saw Xuefei Yang play it. This is an interesting interpretation at a slower tempo, it works quite nicely but I prefer how Xuefei plays the crescendo part at the high frets, I don't think it quite works well enough at the slower speed, you lose the build up and tension you get not playing it in one big strum so to speak, more drama with the way Xuefei plays it, which is what I can only assume was Dilermando's intention. A small criticism of an otherwise great performance. Well done.

Hey, great playing! Where did you get this exact music sheet? Tia
@mischahermans7494 жыл бұрын
Hi Tia, thank you! It's just the standard sheet music of the piece, i only took some variations from the version of Xuefei Yang.

Hello, greetings from Brazil! Very good execution! Dilermando Reis has over 300 compositions; he really was one of the greatest Brazilian guitarists of all time. The master of Dilermando Reis is called Levino Albano da Conceição; Levino Albano (1883-1955) was the greatest Brazilian guitarist of his time, he was even an exceptional composer and very virtuous. Levino was blind at the age of 7, but he discovered in the guitar an encouragement for his own soul, and even more, he helped found several specialized schools for the blind peoples in Brazil. He was a friend of Agustín Barrios and for him dedicated his famous concert study "La Tarantella", which Barrios liked so much that he recorded it in 1921 and then in 1928. He also met the guitarist Josefina Robledo. Unfortunately Levino Albano only recorded 5 albums, but his impeccable guitar technique can be seen. Here are all his original recordings: kzbin.info/aero/PLvaazAKExwB4u8UjnAp-C6vBcXnVdSle5 Wouldn't you like to play some of these pieces? They are all already transcribed into sheet music, and in addition to these I have other scores by Levino Albano (a total of 24 pieces, including waltzes, tangos, studies, etc.). If you accept the challenge, I'll send you all the scores I have, I even have several scores of Dilermando Reis as well.
