This is such a great release from a young band.. these vocals remind me alot of Johnny Hedlund from Swedish death metal band Unleashed.

Thank you for another amazing video and review. I never heard of them but will definitely check them out. Another killer death metal band I recommend you listen to is Mortuous!!! I saw them a few years ago at the Brooklyn Monarch in NYC supporting Blood Incantation and Full of Hell!! Great show all around and their performance blew me away. Their last release "Upon Desolation" is amazing!! I definitely recommed you listen to that one. 😉 Thank you for another incredible video Hun. Nice that you got to talk about this album. Got my CD of their debut around the time after the release. And to be honest even though it says there thrash/death metal band but I feel like I don't feel any thrash elements into it, just straight up old school death metal (which I absolutely have no problem with that). So far I'm in this situation where I'm battling for this album or Sentient Horror's 4th and newest album "In Service Of The Dead" as my number 1 album of the year.

I must admit, that I didn't hear a lot of thrash in the sound of Eternal, more a 'new school of old school' type of death metal approach, and for a debut album 'Cryptic Lust' is pretty darn great! 🤘 I'm an old jaded fart, that has been listening to death metal since the late 80's, so it warms my heart to see, that the younger generation still from time to time can bring something interesting to a very traditional subgenre of metal like OSDM. I believe their drummer, who also recorded and produced the album, is only 18 years old; gives me hope for the future of the genre.. 👍
