HP Pavilion x360 2 in 1 11.6 Laptop Review 2019

Got this a couple of months ago, and it is the perfect professional laptop for the money! All these kids wanting to know if it will run Photoshop or edit video like a surface workstation don't understand what this computer is for (or how they work for that matter!). At this price point, the HP offers more than others under $300. Two USB 3.0 AND a USB C, full HDMI and micro SD makes this perfect for business travel! The 128gb SSD is quite generous at the price and he is right: it is fast for a budget laptop. As for battery life, I am actually getting 6-7 hours with constant Outlook, Word, Excell, Slack AND Spotify running on medium brightness. Standby time is excellent. It is also the perfect travel size for onboard bags on flights. I can see why they went with Windows S pre installed. This is made for large scale corporate deployment. At the wholesale price you can give one to to everyone from Interns to Managers, and S mode will keep viruses from bothering the IT department. This is not a gaming laptop. This is not a vlogging laptop (although, it can do it. The chipset is decent enough). This isn't a MacBook pro or surface replacement. But it is a kick-ass business laptop, and I actually prefer it over the surface go for the extra ports and better keyboard. I won't travel with anything else

I've used this laptop for over a year for school and movies or what not. I like it a lot, I actually get a lot of battery life out of it, about 7 -8 hours lol the touch screen is very useful though especially if you have to draw in word, i.e drawing an equation or something

@@arahim637 I didn't, I ended up buying a macbook instead. I ended up buying a different HP laptop and returning it later that same day because it was making this really weird sound. I've owned an HP laptop years ago and it started giving me problems about 2 years in. I honestly cannot recommend HP at all. My sister also owned an HP and a few years in she has to replace it also. I don't think I'll ever be buying a laptop that isnt a macbook.

Yes. It is a nice laptop. It is fanless and I didn’t notice any throttling but than again I was really pushing the laptop to the limits.

Ended up going with a refurbished HP Elitebook 2170p. 3rd Gen i5 and DDR3 are drawbacks, but it's great to be able to switch RAM and SSD with ease, even the CPU if I wanted to. That's just something really lacking in modern laptops, ease of consumer self upgrades.

Facts. I have both the 11 inch and the 14 inch. I use the 11 inch as my desktop replacement and the 14 inch for travel. That isn't backward because my everyday home use is mostly KZbin, streaming, and Word. I carry the 14 inch around because at home, I can just switch to the 14 inch in seconds if more power is needed. If I'm at a remote location, I don't want to ever be in a situation where I have too little power and be completely stuck.

But the 11" is the perfect travel machine. And the HP x360 has a huge leg up on the portable market at this price with the fast (and pretty generous) SSD and plethora of ports. For it's job, the 11" is perfect. Especially for $299

E P. Through the camera app it had almost has the same quality as a Snapchat face camera selfie. I didn’t check how it was on zoom because I didn’t have time to check but yeah! I’ve loved it though; fast speeds, good feel when typing, good graphics, 2-1 functionality, and the design of the laptop is great. I think it was worth the buy considering laptops never really have crystal clear imaging besides $2,000 laptops which aren’t that much better

But she doesn’t know if she would be able to download new fonts for word (I think they are .rar files that come zipped). The thing is, even though you can download, can you install stuff on this? I’m having a hard time understanding if windows is still just window on the computer or if it’s operating like chrome books where you can’t install things out of the App Store. You’d be super helpful (the Best Buy guys had no idea).

It will not run Adobe premiere well simply because it isn't made for that. You can run Adobe Photoshop express, and lightroom (mostly). But it does not have the power for Photoshop. This is made for students and business people who need an administrative laptop on the go. For that, it blows away the competition and gives the surface go a run for it's money. But this is not the right tool for video or photo production. Best to buy the right tool for the job rather than wasting your money cutting corners. You will save cash in the long run buying the right computer for the job

It does "ok". It is not suitable for a professional application but you can get Lightroom to run and premier "technically" runs. The fast SSD drive is the saving grace. But this is a a student or administrative laptop. It isn't meant for desktop publishing, editing or video production. For the job it was designed for it blows everything in its price category
