There is no bacon in the potato dumpling, but rather a crispy roll fried in butter as a filling! Kind regards from Nuremberg!

Next time you are in and around the Nürnberg region may I suggest a train ride around 40 minutes north to the very beautiful town of Bamberg. It has nine small breweries, some almost as old as your globe (1533). Some really lovely architecture around the old town, although not close to the railway station.I think it would be right up your street and certainly worth checking out on a future visit. Loved your Nürnberg video, keep them coming

Honestly the whole route is full of gems, excluding amazing Nuremberg and Bamberg we also have Erlangen with beautiful streets and University and Forchheim

My wife and I lived in Fürth, while I was stationed at Erlangen and my wife was stationed in Nuremberg (back in 1987-88). We are heading back in December 2024 for some memories.

Being born in Germany and left when I was eight years old your guide was interesting: when visiting family we did not visit some of these sites so I hope to visit one day.

The most important part of your video: Eating Schäufele! Nurembergers die for it! Lived in the city for 5 years and I am still in love with it!

I think you missed the spectacular Christmas Market literally by a few days! So, there's a good enough reason to come back next year in December; I would use Nürnberg as a base and from there, check out Furth Christmas Market ( at the end of the underground line) and DEFINITELY take the train or car to ( in my opinion, and I am German 😉) the most beautiful village in Germany - Rothenburg ob der Tauber. And if you have time, also check out nearby Dinkelsbühl. We did both places on a day out from Nürnberg with a hire car...

Sounds like a wonderful itinerary! Yes, I missed the market but about a week I think! I'll have to head back next year!

Hello, great video. Do you think 2 full days are enough?
@laura-bronner2 жыл бұрын
It depends what you want to see, it’s enough time to explore the downtown and visit a few museums, three would be ideal for a slightly slower pace but you can definitely see a lot of the city if you only have 2 days.

Probably the weirdest thing I did there and most memorable was go to the Zeppelinfield (close to documentation center) and look at the grandstand which they blew the swastika off the top of. But genearlly a very nice city, was there in summer and has a great time going to a beerhall and just enjoying the city.

Was stationed near Nuremberg in the 80's and went back in 2019. So much has changed. There's no longer a US Army presence there.. All former Army bases are being converted to civilian use.

There is a law on how to cook sausages ? damn
@keithy507 Жыл бұрын
They love their sausages lol
@josephr.3814 Жыл бұрын
The law only applies to sausages that are sold under the name of "Original Nuremberger Sausage," if a sausage maker doesn't call them that, then only the usual health regulations apply.
