Great video. Glad you went to Turtleback. Did you see the legendary hot tubs at Doe Bay? Some favorites for me in Washington include a trip to Anacortes, Deception Pass, and Whidbey Island. Anacortes is actually a nice town with good restaurants and beautiful Washington Park. Deception Pass SP gets millions of visitors a year, and Whidbey Island is full of cute towns, good seafood, hiking at Fort Ebey, and you can drive off the ferry and be in Edmonds close to your home. I also love Wenatchee and Leavenworth for a weekend visit. Leavenworth is fake Bavarian, but so beautiful. Wenatchee is relatively undiscovered, but Ohme Gardens, the bike loop, and Pybus Market make it a great place to visit. There are so many more places in our corner of the country.

I didn't see the hot tubs! But Doe Bay was very cute, I liked the little general store. Thanks for the tips! Whidbey and Deception Pass are definitely on our list for a long weekend in August!

“Anacortez”. Ha ha! Your Spanish creeping in. Great job showing a beautiful spot.

😂😂😂 I heard the way Washingtonians say it, you know it’s wrong!! All of these islands were named for the Mexicans that were here! Haha

@@laura-bronner That is NOT the way to pronounce it. It's just wrong.

@@laura-bronner I lived in Northwest Washington for many years. The San Juan Islands were named by the Spanish explorer Francisco de Eliza in 1791, for Juan Vicente de Güemes Padilla Horcasitas y Aguayo, Viceroy of the Spanish colony of New Spain (often referred to as Mexico). Also, though it may sound like it, Anacortes is not a Spanish name. It is an adaptation of the name of Anne Curtis Bowman, who was the wife of early Fidalgo Island settler Amos Bowman.

Orcas is nice, ferries are a bit of a pain to deal with. Washington is a beautiful state but the greater Puget Sound is just too over crowded. Moved out 5 years ago.

If you like Orcas Island, you should go to Vancouver Island. It will blow you away.

Stop advertising orcas...ferry travel difficult & expensive...accommodations are limited & expensive...restaurants are limited & expensive..cost of .iving here is expensive..fewer tourists please.stop advertising us.............😮go somewhere else, you trample on the magic & the ferns.

Despite the bucolic outward appearance of Orcas Island, there is a evil underbelly that permeates the whole atmosphere making living a decent life there unbearable.

Please stay away from the San Juan Islands. Seattle is much better for a visit.

You meant Anacortes, not Anna Cortez, right? We don't have a Spanish inflection in the way we pronounce it. Not for over 200 years...¡ So happy Trump won again, we will sweep out all of the nonsense over the next 50 years.
