@@mike_gread I guess you dont quite realize just how rare those type of units are ever called out in Toronto so excuse me for telling this guy he got good coverage of rare units that were used in this incident. Living in Toronto for over 50 years and having five relatives that work in Law enforcement in Toronto and The OPP I know how rare these guys are called out. As for it being a shooting, well I did go to school so I know how to read and I not only read the description of what happened but seen it on the news, so I am aware there was a shooting. It was in fact a multiple shooting so YAH, IM glad I congratulated this guy on a good catch but was fully aware of it being a shooting. But Hey, Thanks for the comment ever rudd as it was.

This is a huge response for my home city. Never seen some of these vehicles. Weird was driving on Manitoulin Island and seeing a response, smaller but same types of vehicles to this. A domestic in Gore Bay (where we had just been) had turned into a gun incident and hostage situation. That was unexpected given where we were!

So the Tahoe's are either a rapid response unit that has 1 advanced care paramedic that might get to the call before a ambulance and will provide higher care until the ambulance arrives..

Those are ERU's (emergency response unit) or supervisor units. Both would respond to that type of call. In Toronto they have ERU's staffed by all levels of paramedics (PCP & ACP) in addition to specialty TRU's which are staff by Tactical Paramedics.
