I was 10 when this scene aired. I wanted Ethan and Theresa to be together SO BAD. She should have chosen Jared. Or even Fox before him! Ethan was literally the worst guy on the show.

​@@nevermindmyname813that's what really bothered me about Ethan's character. They tried to sell him as being honest and noble. Even when Julian was at his worst, he was always honest about who he was. Ethan wasn't.

@@kellyvanspybrook4746 I was going to add that note about Julian to the end of my comment! It's so true! At least people like Julian, Ivy, Spike, Kaye, Liz knew they were bad and didn't act otherwise (side note: Just realized there weren't many male antagonists on the show 😆). Ethan was supposed to be this good guy and everyone was always talking about how he was "as noble as they come" to quote Fancy, but really he was a coward who had zero back bone or honour.

Ethan has some nerve!.. really Ethan? you think this is the best time to finally admit to Theresa that the whole time you accused her of "seducing" you and that it was all her fault (all the while) you knew the whole time you willingly made love with her that night and that your child was created out of yours and Theresa's love for eachother? If I was Theresa? I would be upset at him for lying to me for months, for making me feel like it was all my fault, and for lying to Gwen in order to not upset her with the truth. Ethan always expected the truth from people, but Ethan is an expert at lying! he even lies to himself daily that he wants to stay with Gwen, when we can all clearly see that the person he loves and wants to be with? is Theresa! (my opinion).

This drove me insane. If I were Theresa, I would have fallen out of love right there, as if everything before this moment wasn't enough. How dare he tell her in private that he knew along it was her he was having sex with, but then leave her out to dry and claim ignorance whenever anyone else is around. I don't believe in violence, but this would have tipped me over.

And Ethan tells her to move on with her life, yet he gives Theresa reason to keep hoping for a future with him by telling her all this...its like he's dangling her weakness of her desire to want to be with him in front of her and that really is unfair to Theresa...if he truly wants her to move on and be happy and is serious about his honoring his marriage vows to Gwen, he would keep his distance and would only be involved with Theresa when it comes to their daughter Jane and nothing more..

Then, he tells her he knew it was her, it was the best sex they ever had.. yadeeyadda. It would have been more respectful to spit in her face.
