Would like to see the house updated that keeps some of the funk (minus weird carpet, etc). Likely the room upstairs was the owner's living space, whereas the area below was largely dedicated to the business.

I guess I don't get the point of this show. Do they remake these houses eventually or just tour and talk about them and go to the next house? I've never seen this show.

Looks like they fantasized. And imagined a dream candle fragrance, based on Listerine and mothballs. “Hardwood” and wavy glass. My big thought is it needs insulation and HVAC. Being in New York, one takes on many taxes and other complications. If it were on a lake, that might balance out. (Former New Yorker here).
