And you people asking for the live show matches...join the damn Facebook page (like they ask you to in these videos every week)! You get previews for the ppv type events, information on upcoming matches (including the live show ones) and it's just an overall fun group to be a part of. Joe McKim when half of the comments read, "when are the live matches going to air?", it gets a bit old. I told them how they can find out
@DVouts116 жыл бұрын
Justin Parker you may remember a time when nobody ever knew what matches we were getting next. They've come a long way. They stated many times in videos past that the live event was happening and that the matches would air at a later date. That's basically all anybody needs to know. Asking over and over in the comment section week after week won't make it get here faster. And if they REALLY need to know right this second, I told them where they can go for that information.

TV shows keep to 30 minutes because they have to fit in a schedule, the Schmoedown doesn't have that restriction, so why should they try to keep it below 30?

Johnny Goodfellow Doesn't need to be under 30 but they should have a fixed time, not that difficult they just have to plan better.

As a spanish and also a big fan of the Schmoedown there's something that I've wanted to ask for a while and it's probably going to get buried because it is a bit too late for anyone of Collider or Schmoedown to read, but I'be been thinking for a while that there is a big lack of foreign movies in the Schmoedown. Not only foreign movies but also classic movies in general. I feel like 80% of the questions are from fairly recent american movies (with fairly recent I mean 80's onwards), and there's so much cinema that's left out. For example I can't remember a single question about Asian cinema, and there have been amazing movies and amazingly talented directors like Wong Kar-Wai, Kim Ki Duk, Park Chan-Wook, Takeshi Kitano, Akira Kurosawa, Masaki Kobayashi, Hiroshi Teshigahara... etc. Same goes for european cinema (not including british), I can remember some Sergio Leone question maybe, but that's about it. I can't think of a single Truffaut, Godard, Fellini, Bergman, Buñuel, Resnais... etc. To me it is a shame that it is too focused on american cinema. I can understand that it is in part because most of the audience are more "casual" fans that watch mainly american cinema. But now that we already have an Innergeekdom division I would love the Movie division to get less "americo-centric" in a way with its questions, because foreign cinema is amazing and it should have more visibility.

Good game! Always refreshing to see new players. Erwin got the Nacho Libre question correct though, the answer was priest since the character was based on a real life Mexican catholic priest, not monk, they take the same vows just life different lives. Cloister vs. Parish.

I appreciate newcomers. Because we lost some of the top competition already. Might as well get some new players to root for. Also seeing them in like a play in contention type of match is nice. You get to see how these players can stack up. Now we get a strong player in..(winner) to face against someone we know. It is good to mix up the players instead of seeing the same competitors over and over. Build the new Cinderella story.

Congratulations to Ethan but this match was a little boring. I think you're best to introduce new players against ones the fans already know.
@ScrubNigel6 жыл бұрын
You have to consider that would take twice the amount of games to introduce new contenders. 1 game, 2 contenders or; 2 games, 2 new contenders. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not. But it's easier for everyone to get a feel for the players quick. My only concern is that hey put them as a Friday match. I've always felt like Friday is big game stuff.

This has bugged me for a long time, but I'm finally going to say something. I hate when they disguise Movie Release Date or Director questions in different category skins. Example in this match, her last question getting Horror/Thriller and it's actually a release date question. I would understand it if they didnt have categories of their own, but Release Dates and Directors have their own categories, why are they sneaking into others?
@MrKrazeeNinja6 жыл бұрын
I think it's fine. It was a horror/thriller question as well as movie release dates so it fits both categories.
@josepsantcristofol2956 жыл бұрын
It's almost impossible to ask a question that couldn't belong in more than one category. For example the question "who starred as Ellen Riple in 1986 Aliens?" could be a 1980's, action/adventure or famous actor and actresses category. Same happens if you ask "Who directed Nightmare on Elm Street?" and I don't know why it could bug you that it is asked in horror/thriller when it is also obviously a horror/thriller question apart from being a Directors question. If that bugs you than basically every question has the same problem one way or another.
@ChrisLamia6 жыл бұрын
A question can fit into multiple categories
@Tyler-ux2tm6 жыл бұрын
Nathan Penrod I agree with you. Coming up with questions that fit in a genre of movie isn’t difficult it feels too easy to just make a “what date/director did this movie come from?”
@otter136 жыл бұрын
Josep Santcristofol i singled out release dates and Directors because with those questions, having the knowledge of release dates heavily outweighs the knowledge of the other category. Who do u think has a better chance at answering that last question right? Some who is strong in Horror, but sucks at release dates... or someone who is strong in release dates, but sucks at horror???

I need more content. The content on this side of the Patreon is for lack of a better term, spartan. I'm tired of waiting for stuff so much. I particularly don't want to wait for matches that Patreon supporters probably get early, like the live Schmodown event they had on the 15th.
