I'm not surprised Tony Khan gave Ethan Page up. Tony Khan only knows how to buy other stars from promotions. He doesn't know how to make stars in his own promotion. In AEW, you'll never be as over as when you first enter the company.

A few perceptions: First, I see NXT and AEW as the equivalent to Triple A baseball teams with the main WWE rosters as the major leagues. Second, I think guys like Page and Shawn Spears can really help younger talent get to the majors. They are both journeymen and know how to wrestle and cut promos. I also believe the overall show benefits from a recurring cast of characters. If Page was on RAW or Smackdown, he'd be midcard. In NXT, he's in the title hunt while helping younger talent get over. This is win-win for everyone (except AEW who can't seem to figure out what to do with the talent they have.)

Heatwave was better than Money In The Bank IMO. Je'Von Evans is fun to watch. Yeah he's still a little green and I'm not huge on his promos but dude is charismatic, sells well, and does some cool stuff in the ring and he's over big with the fans. Trick Williams is gonna be HUGE whenever he gets to the main roster! And yeah, AEW dropped the ball big time with Ethan Page. Been a fan of his since his TNA run (him and Josh Alexander were a great tag team) and I love the fact that he wanted to get heat in his hometown....now that's a real heel! Not every heel needs to be cheered in their hometown.

I’m really happy for him. I met him at a local toy store and he couldn’t have been cooler. At the time I didn’t even know who he was bc I don’t watch AEW. I ended up following his KZbin channel and I really liked him so much that I started checking to see what he was doing in AEW. I kept hoping he would get out of there and get to WWE. Well actually NXT bc that’s where I figured he would fit best. I never expected him to walk in and win the title right away. lol

I couldn’t agree more with you guys. I’m a huge Ethan Page fan. AEW dropped the ball big time with him. I used to watch his toy search vids, and the guy has natural charisma… you can’t teach that. That finish on the NXT main event was flawless
