Damn... that absolutely sucks, but I've got my own shiny story, after playing pokemon for who knows how many years my first legit shiny was a drowsee that would never work with any of my teams... and I feel obligated to use it... and I felt the worst shiny would be a ditto cuz all it's used for (with a few exeptions) is breeding... and what makes it worse is I've tried every shiny method I know and I happen to find one while working on my smeargles moveset (luckily it had false swipe though) and I think I actually lost the cartirage too...

The hard part, assuming you are using an gen 7 Living dex to catalog, is getting Shaymin through Pokebank. It has no fateful encounter flag, so you actually cannot transfer it. This means it is (as far as I know) useless without a cheating device You can get any up to gen 3 Via Glitzer Popping given enough time NOTE: Victini, Genesect, Meloetta, Keldeo, and Marshadow cannot be obtained without a cheating device. Magearna uses a QR code that doesnt expire. In theory, you could do it by getting the event "Not for resale" carts from the internet to get distributions, but not until Ultra Sun and Moon Marshadow QR code is released

For me it was pokemon black... all shinys, infinite health, infinite pp, etc, I had to reset it, probably have the record for most beat up (and still functional although barely) ds lite... the screen has a red tint, chipped on the hinge, won't stay open with the click, only works for a few minutes at best, etc... oh and it's really scratched up, I've had it for years...
