Since this video was posted, an incredible KZbinr known as Goppier has actually built a physical device allowing him to trade between Generations II and III! He has a video explaining how it works that shows him trading a shiny Gyarados forward. (I’d link the video, but KZbin doesn’t like links in comments.) Since it’s a trade and not a transfer, it can even go both ways. It obviously misses out on a couple things--contest stats can’t be preserved, for example--but it’s an amazing device all the same. The power of technology is incredible!

Do you know about the move: "Hidden Power"? I do. In generation 2, Hidden Power could be any type except Normal type, for obvious reasons. However, for some reason, in generation 6 and up, a "Hidden Power Fairy" never existed, meaning that Hidden Power will never be Fairy type. Very weird, don't you think?

I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I remember something about it always loading the fourth script in the map. So... I guess it's technically possible? 9:52 My personal favorite is Mew: Mew could only be obtained in the Gen 2 games by transferring the event Mew from the Gen 1 games, and because it is IV locked, it could not be shiny... unless you used cheats or glitches 10:52 I think you could also get the patch from those Gamecube kiosks at stores. It's possible to obtain the azure flute without a cheat device or a hacked DS. Just connect to one of the many Nintendo WiFi fan servers, where you can use stuff like GTS and do online trading/battling again. Those servers usually also let you download all past event wondercards for your region and game including 2-3 custom wondercards which give you the azure flute (and some otherwise unobtainable functions for your poketch)

Unpopular opinion: No guard fissure machamp wouldnt be that broken. Ik a lot of people see "1-hit KO" and panic, but its still on an incredibly slow pokemon. Also, its a ground type. If someone sends out a no guard machamp, that would just be a free switch to a flying type or pokemon with levitate. Not to mention, Machamp isnt very specially tanky. Any special psychic move could take it out pretty easily. Even if ur team doesnt have a flying or levitate pokemon, you would just lose 1 pokemon and take it out with a strong special pokemon. Also, I wanted to add that he'd likely in Ubers, and thus less of a threat, but I dont even thing he would be, exactly because it would have so many checks and would be useless.

I forgot which gen it was, but they actually 'accuracy locked' OHKO moves like fissure, so that any accuracy increasing move or ability wouldn't affect them. So no guard with fissure wouldn't affect it. After all, you didn't see people running No guard Fissure double battles! (Not that I know, since I've not really played any meta games :P )

I saw a YT vid a while back where you plug your orginal gen 1 / 2 cartridge into your computer and then copy the save file to the 3ds virtual console version of gen 1 or 2 and you could then transfer those mons into gen 7 basically transfering your original mons from gen 1 all the way to 7 and maybe 8 when the new features are released

Number 1 is incorrect. You can use PkHex to transfer pokemon from gens 1 and 2 to any of the gen 3 games. Granted, it's not legitimate, but it is possible. And FYI, any Missingno's or glitched pokemon just turn into Bulbasaurs. No guard fissure Machamp is possible through this, but you can't get it any further than gen 5 because Pokebank will notice the incorrect move.

I mean, it's not impossible to get Arceus with the tweaking glitch. You may have not seen it, which I understand, but basically it involves standing in a specific spot in the void and using a menu option. What I mean is the special menu option that only appears a couple times in the game for various purposes. I forgot the name, but I think it starts with an R. Essentially it executes a command that is in the games code to be activated under certain circumstances. Think of it like having 3 buttons, but on the inside there's a fourth button you could use. It executes a command that would normally only be executable by a certain item. Like the flute, or even the animation for bumping into your rival. I'm no expert, but that should be a good enough explanation. I probably got stuff wrong and misrepresented some information, so don't take it for gospel. The short of it is this; the menu option allows you yo execute usually unaccesable code, via a small fault in the codes programing.

Correction about arceus. It is actually to obtain an infinite number of arceus using tweaking glitch in Pokémon diamond and pearl and it is in the hall of origin. No way to obtain the azure flute without hacks but arceus is possible

The Pokémon data changed between gen 2 and 3, which is part of the reason why you can't trade Pokémon forwards. But then, how does Pokémon Bank deal with this? As far as I know, gen 1 and 2 Pokémon from the 3DS VC releases can be transfered to Sword and Shield. Were these games updated, or how does that work?
