0:35 I believe I recognise that chirp and as such recommend that you replace the batteries in your smoke alarm

@@coreyfinn5532 Good ear! It was an old one left in a storage box with an obvious dying battery in it. Took me awhile to find it. 😂

Your style of paddling was evident this past weekend at Gig Harbor. Perfect timing to release this video. I will pay more attention to shoulder engagement. 🤙🏽

Applying your tips vastly improved my paddling technique. I can't quite explain how but I also feel better balanced , more stable, and faster too! Thanks a bunch Ethan!

Nice! This "falling forward" is new to me, and i've watched quite a few videos over the years and never figured this out on my own. Nice!

Thank you for creating these helpful videos. I would be the ultimate newbee in that I don't even have a SUP yet! I decided to check out some instructional videos to get a feel for what I am in for. My hopes are to have a good base of knowledge as I work on everything involved in having fun adventures on the water on a SUP. Thank you!

Great video. So yeah, turns out I've been keeping my top arm too straight. I never put too much thought into how the top arms influences the strike so much.

My swim coach taught me same thing, like when getting out of pool onto deck. so I use same way with SUP. Bend arm like when you are pushing up out of water. Just trying to get it stronger.😂❤ thank you for video! Watching twice.

👍💪🏼where is the stretch chord and shaft from?

It’s from a company called Kona Sports. You can check it out here: goaff.pro/scsykw

So you can have bent top arm and avoid injury? Old Danny Ching vid says when anything bent it becomes weak point and could cause injury? But it’s old video
@ethanhuffsup2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can have some bend in your elbow and avoid injury plus gain power in your stroke. Test it out and see what you think. 😃

@@ethanhuffsup definitely can apply more downward pressure on paddle . Challenging to max out reach at same time. Thanks for videos I always trying to keep it straight before I watched , WA paddlers 💪🏾

My paddle just telescopes back to closed when I have it extended. Any recommends on a good paddle company?

I personally have enjoyed using Black Project paddles as they’re very high quality and the owner Chris is very helpful. You can check them out here: blackprojectsup.com

Yep, although there’s obviously a lot more going on when it comes to catching waves so your technique may look a little different. But, the main concepts still apply.
