I remember seeing this house with the groovy room in the basement and all the really cool wallpapers. It makes me sad to know it is no more. What a dream to think of being wealthy enough to save it and restore it to all of its simple elegance. So much more character and I would much rather live in this restored than a newly built thing that looks like every other mansion. That fireplace in the basement more formal room with the wood walls was one of a kind and I really hope it was saved. Houses were meant to be upkept and passed down to others who would do the same lasting more than 60 years. Such elegant style but they weren’t afraid to have fun. Thanks for showing it again. Glad you got your picture in that crazy cool seat so you will remember it for a long time! Take care Ethan, be well and stay safe.

Ethan if you had pulled the lower handle on the big oven, it would have slid out and exposed the burners. The Imperial was a full sized range.

This house is a classic. It's a total shame that it's demolished. I loved that "groovy party room" - it's so unique!

What a huge home for it's era.. I loved the spiral staircase , cool wallpapers , the painted wallls room in the basement ,and especially the animals carved in the woodwork on the fireplace . Thanks for showing this cool classy home Ethan. ❤❤

I loved this one. I grew up in 60s and 70s. If I had friends with that kind of basement, we would have hung out there all the time!

Loved this explore, Ethan! This house was built around the same time as the home I grew up in. Colorful wallpaper was fantastically retro - you just don’t see that stuff in today’s buildings. The psychedelic red-carpeted music room was my fave!

I was Born in 1962 I love this house. 🙂 Look at the quality that was built into this house. Solid wood and doors. Nice workmanship. The houses 🏘️ they make today are cheaply built with flaws and are Soo expensive. So Sad 😢 to see this type of house be demolished 😢. Thanks Ethan I look forward to watching your house videos every week. Your videos are Xlint and show us everything in the house the architect, The Style and we can see how back than they used quality building parts and time to build a house 🏠. Keep up the Xlint work Ethan - you're the best out there. 👍🙂 Brian - Las Vegas Nevada.

Loved the Frigidaire range. My parents had an upright freezer that was made by General Motors and was still running the year I turned 30 (2001). GM made appliances for Frigidaire until 1980. This house predates me. I was born in 1971.

This house definitely has shown its retro age and the family that was living in this prior before was definitely living their life in this home, which is a wonderful thing to see what I think is rather somewhat disappointing is that it got neglected it seems like as the individual owner got older, and not being able to take care of it as well as they should, but other than that, this was a diamond in the rough that’s for sure thank you for sharing. Take care Ethan and have a great safe wonderful day.🫶🏻🤠

Those big houses usually have a formal dining,a sitting room & a family room. This one confuses you because I see several areas that could've been used for formal dining. These old houses always have some odd rooms & nooks. I would think those wallpapered rooms were kids rooms. And no thank you with the creepy hall!

So you missed the button under the handle of the double ovens? That is my stove and ovens. It was a Flair and it was so different. Top of the line in the 60s. May not have had a button, just a pull out handle. Otherwise, why a handle? Mine does have a button and I have 4 electric burners, 2 are not working.
