Telly magic. Love how Ethel regards curry, pizza and bolognaisee lol as haute cuisine, bless her.

“Curry, or pizza, or that spaghetti bolog thing” … 0:50 Ethel was always looking for more excitement in life. There was something so sad about her behind the cheekiness.

Old days good old days when human beings were humans and acted humanly. I saddly miss those old happy days. 😔😔😔

Thanks for these clips. A great example (this whole episode) of when the show was able to quietly move story along while still feeling like some semblance of daily life. I appreciate how low-key Dot still was here, compared to some later caricature periods.

Just classic TV 📺

The writers definitely put Ethel's "Willy" in as a subtle naughty joke. Back when the writing was good, unlike today's Eastenders which is bland and depressing.

Also, why do I hear some kind of rythmic clapping that sounds like clap clap clap clap clap clap clapclapclap?

A clock?
@scmtuk36622 жыл бұрын
@Rhys Hoffman Actually I think it was part of the TV. It was perfectly in rhythm with the music in the background. Also, as I said, it was rhythmic. Clocks don't generally go tick, tick, tickticktock, tick, tock, tickticktock.

Not in this day & age... I know of several "women" who complain about still having a Willy!
