*Finally* someone put out a Thaumcraft successor! Thaumcraft was my favorite mod of all time, still is, and it's been extremely disappointing how long it's taken to get a proper revival or successor mod

Many centuries ago, the old archmage Azanor left this world. Some say he ascended beyond the universe, others that he simply died like an ordinary man... Whatever the case, he left behind many inventions and gizmos, the purpose of which the people of that time could not comprehend. And now, a young and gifted sorcerer, Faraday, has discovered a dusty tome that has mysteriously appeared on his doorstep. On its title, the word "Thaumanomikon" was engraved in golden letters. The laws of the universe are plastic and flexible, like corn flour, and therefore most of the book has lost its relevance, and in general, its author followed an impractical path... His methods can be improved, some absorbed, some discarded. If this diary really belonged to Azanor himself, then... It will not be difficult to surpass him.

Thaumcraft is and always will be my favorite mod of all time. Its the one that I studied to master. I have the most memories of 4 and seeing this and how many similarities it has to it so much fun. I hope this continues to be developed, so much could be done and improved on. Not having to charge wands with vis is definitely a positive, I hope something like the Esentia system will be there and something like infusion crafting. Also idk what others thought about it, but I loved the research system in thaumcraft. While it took some time to learn it felt awesome learning to master it plus it really made the mod feel like a combo science/magic mod. Like I was studying these forces and learning how to control them. Anyway, super cool I love this!

It’s fabric api. Also I didn’t search for it, but the interesting thing is that I would prefer a neoforge api version, and the dev of the mod has comments turned off

Honestly I can understand why. The comments section can get toxic at times with people making demands for Minecraft version or api version. I would prefer that the split never happened in the first place, but it did. It would be nice if people could agree on a compatibility option, but it most likely won't happen. I have seen mods that looked interesting, but ignored them because I liked Forge having everything I wanted in one place. Now with the split that created NeoForge I'm looking around more. If it means eventually having a Witchery and Thaumcraft option in the same pack, I'll gladly use Fabric.

Wow, that's amazing! It seems to be even better than the ThaumCraft. Spells mechanic is very cool, I hope it will be developed further, it was something that is missing in ThaumCraft. There was surely a lot magic things to do and to craft, but it was not much some "active" magic when you use spells and interact with surroundings as is.

I used to really like Thaumcraft, and its great to see somebody picking up the concepts and introducing new ideas. I hope to see more in the future and really wish to see some of the other concepts re-imagined (I really liked infusion and research stuff). I'll be watching to see where this mod goes

I have a lot of fond memories from Thaumcraft over the years. This mod trailer makes me really excited that the spirit of the mod is still alive today. I also hope that people embrace this fully. I would absolutely love to see this with Create integration.

I love how the warp detector works like a Geiger counter. And all the detailed animations. And the textures. All the little things are just perfect in this mod. I’m not sure this quite dethrones Theurgy as the best alchemy mod, but it’s certainly one of the best magic mods in general.

What I'd love to see is a magic mod, but one that incorporates magic into automation tech. Basically, in an alternate universe where magic is real, people would most likely find ways to make modern tech with that and I'd love to see that Minecraft.

In the nicest way I can say and most the gregtech community it's not really thaumcraft at all you only made the beginning of thaumcraft and then called it that and the vibe is to happy not evil enough and acorse missing all later thaumcraft stuff it's still a good mod but it's not like thaumcraft that much I,m and most people I have decused this with are glad that someone is trying to bring thaumcraft into modern spotlight but the vibe and the meaning if you would call it that are completely off but keep up the hard work and to anyone reading this thank you for your time

The seals that you find in the wild look a bit weird, I think the design could do with some work. It doesn't really fit with the aesthetic of Minecraft with its current design at the moment in my opinion. The concept is really cool though. Finding magical seals in the wild with your magical lense device is a great idea.

Hi, I just wanted to tell you the "Samovar" in my language the meaning is Autocooker. I mean its fine just misleading a litle. Othervise awesome mod :D

autocooker - the thing that cooks food? a samovar is a thing for tea,through a tube water is boiled and tea is brewed there, then through another tube you can pour tea into a mug. But now there are electric samovars, in which water is also boiled

I don't knowsq man. I understand that this is WIP and a reimagining, the only thing connecting this to thaumcraft is the cauldron and the aspects, which are used only in the cauldron. Thaumcraft was about equivalent exchange and infinite compositions of different elements, this doesn't mean this mod is bad, it's just way more shallow that even thaumcrsft 7, not to mention 4.

In my opinion the mod doesn’t feel dangerous or dark enough to be a thaumcraft successor. The mod doesn’t have enough points where it basically tells you to turn back, because you are instead playing a nature mod over a black magic mod.
