There is a big difference between ‘being forgiven’ and a ‘standing ovation’.. Alex seemed to misunderstand this IMO. Also, I think the 8 fold path to be programmed into AI is a brilliant thought! Far better than compassion (of course it is hugely important) because I don’t believe that the vast majority of programmers would have an understanding of compassion, which in my understanding can take many, many, many lifetimes of developing to be. So how can they program something they don’t truly understand. No the 8 Fold path is far more likely to give good outcomes. I couldn’t help but feel Ragu’s respect for Alex but also his gentle, almost grandfatherly love of a child (Alex) as he learns to walk. Great, however, to have these discussions. Appreciated.
