Appreciate all y'alls kind comments. For those disappointed, thank you for your constructive feedback. EthioMod I'm glad you chose this style over the picture perfection smooth 5 gazillion screen shot projects some such as Dr. Face do nowadays. I feel projects in this style might as well be done in SFM, it's videos like this with the core Gmod feel that have a strange charm to them and it's good to see you try to keep it intact. Perhaps not worth a 3 year wait but still made me lol a few times which is more than I can say for most vids I see nowadays. EDIT: Well this is awkward, Dr. Face is in this comment chain. ***** In case you read this, take no offense - your videos are a work of art in how smooth they are and the patience you have to create 10 minutes or above of video is astounding. Just meant in my original comment how it's nice to see someone use that cartoony whacky style that was all around at the beginning of gmod film making.

A random story involving this video To waste time, I sat around in school playing this entire video in my head because of how many times I watched it. After I got past the 5 minute mark in my head, I had lost all sense of reality and literally had no idea what was happening around me. I very quickly started thinking of other gmod videos I've watched (e.g. Spy hates bananas, Team Fabulous 2) without a single trace of what was happening in school. Apparently, the class had switched twice, and I was still sitting there. Because of this, a teacher had to psychically try and push me, but I really didn't even move because I was so stuck to my chair. The principal investigated the situation, and had my mom come to the school. Because I heard my mom's voice, I snapped out of my KZbin in mind trance and I was literally so embarassed after hearing everything that happened I just literally walked out of the classroom, and went to the office and sat there until the end of the day and I guess my mom just left sort of. At the end of the day, I head home, and I went on my computer, and watched this once more. That is right now. Yep.

Truly a masterpiece. TF2 Air 2, the sequel to the popular short art film TF2 Air, arrives to continue EthioMod's venture into thought-provoking Gmod films. While a continuation of its predecessor with respect to the setting and its minimalist presentation, containing little music, creative use of practical effects, often non sequitur dialogue, and many returning faces from the first film, TF2 Air 2 adds many more complex layers and is more than double the running time. Some may argue that the added content may slow down and harm the film's purpose, but Ethiomod's brilliant sense of pacing keeps each moment fresh and unique. The audience is introduced through a creatively harsh but nonetheless realistic view of a TSA checkpoint, a segment which engrosses the viewer through shock and the clear criticism of TSA practices, harming the citizens who simply wish to see another part of the world and escape the monotony of their lives. Of course, they find that the beast guards the entrance to their paradise. Those who make it through are left irreparably scarred, as astutely portrayed through the rape of a travel agent by one such passenger who sought to defy the TSA. Afterwards, we arrive to the familiar setting of the TF2 Air plane itself, the sole setting of the first film. Our return is almost like revisiting limbo, once again seeing the collection of caricatures embodied by the cast, forever stuck aboard the repeating cycle of air flight, from which the only escape is to plummet to the cruel earth and certain death. EthioMod's opus is almost certainly a commentary on both the evasive concept of life and death as well as a criticism of the current state of air travel. However, as the film nears its conclusion, it gradually morphs into an even less defined, more abstract, avant garde cinematic experience. The repetition of the phrase "Each totem on the pole is a symbolic representation of one family" reminds the audience that the traits exaggerated to define each character is but a surface to a much deeper history. Every character, no matter who they are, must come from somewhere, from some family, have grown up some way. This message is applicable to all forms of storytelling, including real life as we know it. After all, real life is just the clay to molded into an artist's vision. Shortly after, the film's conclusion dawns: the plane lands, our journey ends. TF2 Air 2 finished on a solitary close-up shot of the flight's captain, the psychopomp who took us from point A to point B. From another view, it is EthioMod himself, the sole curator of our experience. His vacant expression - sunglasses shielding his eyes, mouth left agape - show the mental and physical exhaustion from taking us on such a wild ride; the auteur's relapse into the real world, stuck gazing into the abysm after a long period of dedication to their craft. Such is the cruel fate of the artist, a reality we must all experience as we continue to grow old, never to detach ourselves from time and just admire our muses. Life and art are a joyride that must be taken at full speed and with no stops, no matter the passenger.
