Ethiopia: Deep dive with Dr. Jilcha Feyisa

I would like to thank Dr. Jilcha Feyisa for sharing his USMLE and career journey. He matched to one of the very competitive specialties (radiation oncology) at an Ivy League university. Not only that, he finished all the required exams (Step 1, Step 2CK, and OET) in 8 months. impressive! right? From working in a rural hospital to his residency training in Addis or his life abroad, I believe many Ethiopian physicians would relate to his life journey, and if any of you reading this are in one of those positions, know that it is possible! Dream big and work hard!

Thanks for the interview Dr Kirubel. Your content is really inspiring for those of us at the beginning of this journey. Can you make a video on what happens after you finish residency on J1 visa(maybe invite a fellow Ethiopian who just finished residency there) ? Like what are the options if you cant get a waiver for the 2 year rule? ,what are the other options? cause I feel like this is an important piece of information that is often overlooked .

Even expired License can be used so long as it has not been 4 years since it expired by the time you apply. For instance a license that expired on 2020 can be used for this cycle.
