TAC Film & Video Festival: bit.ly/YnQfaJ
Northern Ethiopia is the birthplace of Ethiopian Christianity, a religion practiced by almost half of the country's 80 million people. In the northern province of Tigray lies a remote territory dedicated completely to the monastic life, the Waldeba. The Waldeba is home to about a thousand monks and hermits that lead secluded lives of abstinence, fasting and prayer. For these religious people, dying in Waldeba is the way to gain direct access to heaven. In this film, the first documentary on the region, François Le Cadre goes to Waldeba to observe the religious practices of the monks and learn about Saint Samuel, the founder of the most important regional monastery called "the land of the monks."

We don’t worship the Holy Virgin and the saints , you should say “to venerate “ “to honor “ we only worship God

You know history is a repeat when new videos show up from 11 years ago and most likely filmed before that .

0:25 says "...to worship the holy virgin and the saints..." Such a claim not only eludes the true image of Christianity but also neglects the tenets of the church. should the film have been based on an artfully contrived false story?

+Lali Bela it's been proven. It has been in Ethiopia since 1 AD. It is the oldest, and older than Armenia. Poor india, has no proof, since the Europeans came there, burned their books and forced them to convert to their version.

Interesting fact is Armenian Alphabet is completely based on Ethiopian apparently their "Great" minds "borrowed" bunch of words when visiting Jerusalem. Armenia is one of the biggest forgeries of History they managed it since 12th century because of monks living in island off the coast of Venice forging and placing name Armenia on every possible map, after 900 years we have Armenians who claim to be the most ancient and greatest civilization on earth
