actually what i heard is Ethiopians use Uganda as a way to go to US or Europe. it was easy from there than from Ethiopia. that is why she said there are a lot of Ethiopians in Uganda. it is not because they chose Uganda over Ethiopia as a permanent place to live.

Most Ethiopian that come to Uganda are trying to go to USA and Canada. Uganda is the country that host refuge so they go to uganda to get registered as refuge and make it to USA/Canada. Ethiopia is more developed than Uganda. I have a lot of friends in Uganda and they told me this.

I have lived in all three countries. Culturally Ugandans may find Kenyan culture similar. BUT it is very easier for males to find Ethiopia comfortable to live than the females. Ethiopia is very stressful for females and the opposite for males
