If Derg had any vestige of human sense of rationality, the presence of the commission could have helped them to think differently and act more humanly and rationally than they did. This on its own is evident enough to tell you how blindly they have acted. Why rush to execute all those people on the sideline when there was a commission already looking into their past deeds? Panic and heartless animal extinct should be the answer and nothing else.

The dismissal of AAU academic by EPRDF shouldn't be dismissed out of hand like that without providing evidence. Prof Mesfin himself has contradicted himself by saying that the acedemic not doing any research.
