I think it has something to do with the Ethiopian Calendar and it's significance to the life of Earth. The Ethiopian calendar is being carefully evaluated just as the Mayan Calendar by modern day Scientist for it's significance to the 2012 theory. We have to know that these civilizations are and will always be far more advanced spiritually and more educated on theories of human existance...

Can you please change the name of the video. Since its not all about the ten commandment...it just creates a big misunderstanding. Maybe you can name it as Timkat or Epiphany celebration. Thank you.

Religion has brought benefits and drawbacks to Ethiopia. Benefits: a sense of history, the written word-in our case Ge'ez, a sense of identity-ethiopians are more patriotic because we are surrounded by 'hostile muslim states'. Drawbacks: one cannot work for about a hundred-odd days because it is some saint's day and must be observed. Science and modernization were kept back by the church and has obviously effected our country. We must find a compromise.

The thing is, that Ethiopia has a very unique Christian heritage. It's the only ancient sub-saharan african Christian tradition that has survived to this day. But there are many muslim traditions south of the sahara. And as people like to show the special things, they concentrate more on Christian than Muslim Ethiopia.

Thank you for posting this video I got to get a little taste of what it is like in a Ethiopian neighborhood. In America they always show images of Ethiopians starving and sick and I know that Ethiopian life must not be like that.

I am a white guy from America. I list my religion as Ethiopian Orthodox. Because they have the Ark and that carries a lot of weight for me. I'm going to celebrate this next time. I'll wear white and beat on some drums. God bless Ethiopia.

and this video is about Christian Ethiopia. This doesn't mean that there isn't a large Muslim population with its own unique Ethiopian tradition and culture! We should learn to respect eachothers traditions and cultures!

Modern Ethiopia is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country! So it's neither a Christian nor a Muslim country! Some of it's cultures are Christian influenced and others are Muslim influenced!

Religion has always been in Ethiopia. Before Christianity, was pagan religion. But the first Christian peoples were in Ethiopia. Religion isn't 'religion' in Africa, if that makes sense. Its part of everyday life, it's part of culture.

The ark is there. Thankfully they're at an altitude or more than 2,000 meters so it will be safe from the mile-high tsunamis in 2012. They know the ark is the seat of God on this earth.

About your post on "Ethiopia-Ten Commandments"; 1.You just described the 7 yr antiChrist system, which'll fail. You also just described the 1,000 yr Reign of Jesus Christ immediately following, which'll succeed, The difference; the 1st will be led by satan, the 2nd by God. 2.""Based on 'scientific' revelation"; Depends on what you mean by science. 3."Women will be seen as superior"; Gee, I thought all you wanted was equality. Doesn't reverse superiority sound hypocritical to you?
