Thanks, bro! We call it Mahlete, which means "song." This tradition started in the 6th century after Saint Yared went to heaven, where he witnessed saints chanting. Initially, the church didn’t adopt it immediately. They prayed for confirmation, asking Christ to appear if it was true. During their prayer, just before it ended Christ appeared before them . Since that miraculous day, we have continued this practice almost every night, typically from 2-3 PM until midnight. Saint Yared is the first music composer in the world, But the school doesn’t teach you that. If you have the time i want you took at this videos beloew. You can see that the songs (Mahlete) give life to the paintings in the Chrch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p32rZZ5_fZWkhKc&ab_channel=sisayhailu kzbin.info/www/bejne/roO7h6ufZrGdmac&ab_channel=EthioIcons%3A%E1%8A%A6%E1%88%AD%E1%89%B6%E1%8B%B6%E1%8A%AD%E1%88%B3%E1%8B%8A%E1%89%85%E1%8B%B1%E1%88%B3%E1%89%B5%E1%88%A5%E1%8B%95%E1%88%8B%E1%89%B5
Directly descended from above, heaven! The chant of the holy angels. Proud to be an EOTC.
