Etho MindCrack SMP - Episode 92: Fun House Prank

MindCrack is a server Guude started in late 2010. It is a private (whitelisted) server. We are currently not accepting applications.
A long time ago... in a land very close to spawn point, Guude laid the foundation for his first house on the MindCrack server. Years passed by with many inclinations from the Guude that he would one day build his house upon this foundation. Today, finally after many years, Team Canada (+1, -1) decided to step in to give Guude a house greater and more beautiful than anything he ever dreamed of.

Yeah, but this is Venn Schwa, not the new Von Sway. It's a very different build style. Venn Schwa is all about large irregular connecting shapes of one or two materials, filled in with an assortment of blocks and wrong-shaped rooms, as well as directly inefficient and downright dangerous design. The Von Sway of today is far safer by comparison, and there are very few if any large shapes made of a single material, and there are far more things that lay in contrast to the original Venn Schwa. I have a lot of feelings about this. The Venn Schwa house was, is, and always will be the best prank house ever.

This brings back so many memories of the Etho I grew up with and had such an incredible time watching. I’m still subscribed, and I love the videos still, but there was something magical with Team Canada’s projects, the Mindcrack UHC and server, and the PVP videos that I could watch ten times over and not get bored. Maybe I’m too nostalgic. Legendary.

It makes me sad looking back at these videos. Season 3 was, in my opinion, the best season out of every season I have watched, which was seasons 2-5 (or 6??? I don't even know at this point.) you can in this season really see the connections that they have made with each other not in the game, but as people. Where has that gone? Precious people left because of this change. I'll just do a marathon of season 3 in its entirety and reminisce.

Well he did eventually keep his promise. He was smart to leave when he did. Way too many people are whining about how people leaving Minecrack was the end of the good times... but doing that let them do new things and not be shackled to a burning ship. If anything, they did better after leaving.

I actively avoided Hermitcraft back in the day. I thought Mindcrack was way superior, but I didn't spend much time verifying that opinion. Now, Hermitcraft has long since surpassed what Mindcrack could ever have become. Anyone saying Mindcrack was "the good old times" is kidding themselves. @@ZakTheFallen

It is truly beautiful how the aura of each element used in this creation joins together. The collaboration of colors and textures facilitates the vonsuae that emanates throughout the halls. This video holds up so well. Five years later, I can watch it and know exactly what UHC their talking about. I remember what was going on in the server. Gosh, MindCrack was an amazing, fun, and great community during the days of season 3 and 4. I hope that with Team Guano playing on the late season 5 server (and the recent honorary additions) the server will gain some more interest of members that are interested in rediscovering the game. I miss seeing the pranks, the random collabs that accomplished nothing, and the joy that we could hear in the voices of everyone. If for some reason you're reading this Etho, it'd be nice to see you playing some games with the guys. It sounds like you still talk to them, which is great, and we would appreciate watching some content of you with some of them.

They wanted to turn it into a business and start merchandising which required people to sign agreements and join the business, which I'm guessing would also require them to give a percentage of their money. A good portion of the people did not want to be involved in that at all. Which caused a bit of a separation in people. Other than that, people just got/get busy or had natural separation.

@@mjf69 No, the B-Team was taking undisclosed sponsorship money for promoting multiplayer servers that targeted young kids with their parents' wallets. Guude wanted to formally define what Mindcrack members were to avoid this sort of grift, so they left & two other members (Etho & someone else) left due to not wanting to publicly disclose their identities.
