My inner pedant both heard him say that and laughed along with you AND would love to offer up this fun fact: they're _~technically~_ not the same! Wow. Etho has done Cub's maze in the most unique way. When there was a choice (unknowingly) he always took the hardest possible path and invented new hardest ways to make jumps. I'm pretty sure he is the only Hermit who did not find at least one water breathing potion at the underwater part, the only one who does the ice side of the candle parkour. He nails all the hard parkour jumps that everyone was struggling on (multi-slime jumps, honey around the corner, and the last honey jump). He does the slime jump from the ladder in the small tower instead of the hole above the slime. He now also has the highest score in trivia. Holds space on the vines instead of shift. Hits every button in stage 6. Does the final parkour while the trident guy is shooting. Just a treat to watch.
@clintshidwood45112 ай бұрын
i was amazed at his parkour. ive been watching a few mc lets players here and there for over a decade now and all of them fail to do 2-3 block jumps. yogscast is horrible with this, fail a 3 block jump 3 times in a row and the cheating begins. etho out here doing the 1 block 'sptint jump, jump' combo (not sure what what the official name is, but gives more momentum/distance than sprint jump, used for 4 block jumps) like it's nothing.

Just a note, the "follow the left wall" rule for mazes only works on "simple" mazes (not being pretentious, it's an actual maths term lol), ie mazes where the walls are continuously connected or there's an outer wall connecting everything. If there are some walls in the maze that aren't connected to everything else you end up with loops which defeats the hand on wall approach.
@jackwen042 ай бұрын
Well, as long as the entrance and exit are on the same depth (like a traditional kids maze, with the entrance on one side and exit on the other) you can still follow the left side rule. Of course, cub could put the exit in the floating section to prevent this but it could be a good starting strategy to just follow the left until you reach the exit or the entrance again, because then you'll either solve it or know that at you'll have to follow a more complicated algorithm

Etho builds are so beautiful that it feels strange to think any part of designing a building could possibly be difficult o.o I guess sometimes it is hard to tell when someone puts off doing a thing because it is difficult, or because they are procrastinating for no real reason. In the first case, constant reminders will be detrimental rather than helpful.

Etho suffered through the maze so he could flex his awesome parkour skills Also the intentionally taking a hit from the guardian was so smooth

Hour long Etho video on my birthday is absolutely legendary. Best present ever! The vibes are just as immaculate as they were when I was 13 years old and now I'm turning 23. Life is full of change but the fact that these videos have remained a constant for so long means a lot to me. Much love man

"it made my nose bleed" is a perfect characterization of the difficulty 🤣

Happy Halloween Etho and everyone in the comments! :D An hour and 20 minutes of Etho and the Hermits is a great way to celebrate. Get your snacks! I guess I'll take some of the candy I bought for the trick or treaters lol.
