tips: 1) you actually don't need a charger. there's a recipe for the charged quartz. 2) you don't need an import bus, just pipe the items into an interface. they automatically go into the AE system. it saves a bunch of channels, plus you can use ender io cables. super handy. 3) since crafting the chips takes ages, consider having a stock of them always available. Add your tips and like so he can see.

4) When auto crafting, holding shift changes the next button to start rather than next (skips the items available screen) which is slightly faster

Etho, you can simplify your processor setup massively by having interfaces for every invidual component and add the recipe of the component they're making. For example: If you want to request a logic processor, teach the system how to make the components of it, and then the complete recipe of the logic processor, that way they will automatically be crafted when you request them. Also, don't forget to add speed upgrades to your molucelar assemblers. PS: If you want to empty your diamond chests into the system, use an import bus with max. speed upgrades instead of manually moving them over.

Actually for slow machines (and trust me, the inscribers are exceedingly slow once you start needing hundreds of components to craft something), it works better to keep a supply on hand. Generally this is accomplished via some form of back-stuffing and auto-export. Which works very well indeed for inscribers, and is basically what he's already doing. Though the speed upgrades definitely wouldn't hurt!

Energy Condensers are a "Set and Forget" method of converting EMC into a select item. You can chose an item, say a Diamond which is 8192 EMC, and put it in the slot at the top. Then connect piping or manually put items into the chest area. Those items will be destroyed and converted into their EMC value. That EMC is stored in the Energy Condenser and when you get enough for the item in the top slot (8192) the EMC will drop to 0 and you will get the item you chose (diamond). That diamond will go in the chest area but will not be destroyed or converted to EMC.
@jschroedl9837 жыл бұрын
Energy Condensers are good to put in mob farms so the mob drops will go into the condenser and you can just rack up high EMC items over time.

@TheMikuma7 жыл бұрын
Were OP. That's because a blaze rod was worth 2 blaze powder and if you used a pulverizer you could get 6? powder which is basically free. In this pack however they are worth 6 powder so that loop is out. What you can do here is just create an emerald world and set an auto quarry inside and get all the EMC.
@m.sierra52587 жыл бұрын
More tips: 1. You don't need to send power through the energy acceptor, you can directly power the me controller with RF in this pack. 2. Already said, but yes, PLEASE use me dense conduits instead. They are a LOT cheaper. 3. ME drives are able to forward channes to devices next to it, so you don't need to run a cable to every single ME Drive (equals a smart cable, can run 8 channels). 4. ME Interfaces (at your molecular assemblers) CAN run power/channels, but they behave like smart cables, running only 8 channels. You need to have several connections if you have more than 8 interfaces (which you have) 5. You don't need soapy water to repair your armor. 6. As other people already said, import busses are needed only in rare cases. In most cases, use item conduits to put the items in an interface. (Btw, if you use interfaces as import chests, switch them to invisible so they don't show up in the interface terminal) Happy mining!

An energy condenser, you put a item you want to "Dupe" in the right corner, and dump some EMC worthy items in it... it will eat those and turn it in the item you want... However, the items that got converted into EMC are lost. The transmutation tablet does the exact same thing, however... after converting a item to EMC... you "Learn" it, making it possible to make it any time you want from the tabled, and you don't need to keep a copy of the item, or swap a item out. It's in the tabled, and as long as the tabled has EMC you can pick out any learned item as many you like.
@ahmadqureshi7507 жыл бұрын
Kevin W this may not be that version but this is right
@flynnwalker65957 жыл бұрын
But the energy condenser allows you to mass produce items, not totally necessary right away.
@WorgenDeath7 жыл бұрын
basically, the condenser you need 1 of the item to copy it but it has the advantage of having an inventory and being able to automate it, the tablet will remember any item you disassemble in it but has the downside of being manual only, outside of that they do the same.
@Ke5o7 жыл бұрын
flame gast here is an explanation for ya, almost every item has an "EMC value" what the energy condenser does is takes whatever item (that has and EMC value) you place in the top right and essentially you trade for that item. For example, redstone has an EMC value of 64. Cobblestone has an EMC value of 1. So if you place redstone dust in the top right of the energy condenser and put 64 cobblestone in it you will receive 1 redstone dust. NO EMC IS EVER LOST (Unless you destroy stuff of course) The transmutation table (and tablet which is links with the table and is a handheld version.) works kinda in the same way, if you place (or shift click) and item into the slot which has fire in it you are essentially trading in the item for raw EMC. When you "Trade" the item in for EMC (if it's the first time you "traded" in an item the tablet "learns" it and you are now able to trade in for example, 64 EMC for a piece of redstone dust. (There is a nice GUI which shows the items you've learnt and a search bar.)
@infinityryvus7 жыл бұрын
Energy Condenser is easier to access though. He can probably use it now. Table and Tablet are very late game items. This is the info he actually needs, and I don't think anyone cleared that up.
@Splitfinger7097 жыл бұрын
Hey Etho, you can right click on a storage bus. Set the priority higher than the ME drives. This way, items will try to go into your storage drawers first, then it'll continue looking for available storage. You can use regular power cables on the inscriber to power them.

Hey Etho! Here are some ProjectE tips, (I only used it in tekkit (minecraft 1.2.5), but it should hopefully be similar): Condensation Chest: They have one job, turning the 'worth/value' (EMC) of your input (the giant 'chest' part of the thing) into your desired output (the single box in the top left). These are extremely useful in DUPLICATING anything you want. If an iron ingot is 128 EMC and cobble is 1 EMC each, it takes 128 Cobble to make 1 iron ingot (the cobble is consumed). Its important to note that its duplication because you need the item to tell it what to turn things into, this is why ProjectE players store at least 1 of each item with EMC, for potential future duplication (also why you can choose to make 2 of these, so you can make duplicates of the second one, but if you only plan on using 1, you only need 1). Transmutation tablets: (you only need 1) These are things that GENERATE items. heres how it used to work: - You give it an item, it turns it into EMC and STORES the item - You can choose to take a STORED item out, but it will need to have enough stored EMC to let you. - ALL STORED ITEMS WILL BE 'forgotten' WHEN THE TABLET IS BROKEN - To keep the table from forgetting, you can make an Alchemical Tome and put it into the table, this will instantly keep items from being forgotten and (i think) will let you make everything. Power Flowers: This is a multiblock structure that allows you to generate EMC in a condensation chest using the power of light (PRAISE THE SUN, doesn't have to be the sun, glowstone (or any light) blocks all around it works fine too) I suggest searching this up online because I haven't used it in a while and have forgotten, but its idea is sorta like an investment: you put in effort into making the powerflower, and over time you reap your rewards (EMC). Good luck in this mod, its great to see 2 episodes of this pack in 2 days, would love to see more!
@evancrazyerror7 жыл бұрын
You can use the energy condenser like the tablet, but you have to have one of the item to make more. You need one item too for the tablet, but it saves it and you can search up the item and make more, aslong as you have enough EMC
@InfornoFire7 жыл бұрын
Etho, don't forget that: 1. You can use advanced inscribers (holds more acceleration cards and the ability to use blocks instead of ingots) 2. If 1 inscriber is powered/hooked up, so is the rest. 3. You should use me interface blocks instead since if 1 of them is connected to your me system, any touching will also be connected (if theres 5 in a row with 1 dense cable touching 1, 5 channels will appear on the dense cable).

Hey Etho, Great vid as always! This might drown in the number of (semi) useful comments you get on every video. But I would like to tell you that: 1. The dense cables can handle 32 channels, but the "machines" only carry 8. So hooking up all the interfaces/assemblers this way won't work if there are more than 8 interfaces. (The assemblers don't take a channel). 2. When starting a new crafting job it shows on the top how many bytes it will take, right above the ingredients it will need. That way you can easily see how many of something you can craft at a time. Or how much crafting storage you need for certain large jobs, and the change the crafting storage units accordingly. 3. In your crafting terminal, on the top right, there is a hammer icon. That shows you all current crafting jobs. So you can see how it going if it is taking (too) long. There you can also cancel them if something is wrong.

Bit of a tip, Etho. Each row in your pattern terminal for putting your created patterns in corresponds to a molecular assembler. The reason this matters is because if you have a multistep craft, such as the 4k modules, and you put all of the stuff it needs to craft to make a 4k in the same row, then it will be slower because all of the items are being crafted out of one assembler.
@gabrielsissom7 жыл бұрын

just a bit of experience for the transmutation table; if you don't have enough EMC to make something, it will not show up on searches in the table. also, you'll need the philosopher's stone to make those Red Matter blocks for the table; once you've made the table, it kinda replaces the stone, at least crafting-wise.

YES! Two episodes in two days! This is already a fantastic week! By the way: I would strongly recommend you to use the advanced inscribers instead of the normal ones. They are a lot easier to automate since it doesn't matter from which side you're inserting/extracting items from and you can put more speed upgrades in them. Also I think that not all molecular assemblers are hooked up since any AE2 machine can only transfer 8 channels and I believe that there are more interfaces in that cluster. Anyways, keep up the fantastic work! I'm always unbelievable happy when I see one of your episodes in my subscription tab. I hope you enjoy making these episodes as much as I and many others enjoy watching them.

My biggest complaint is channels. You want to know how to solve all the channel problems you could ever have? Throw P2P tunnels at it. Lots and lots of nested p2p tunnels. It adds no actual challenge to designing the system, just more crafting and tedious setup involving binding and linking. Luckily they added a config to turn them off... unfortunately that config also breaks things because it removes the channel-related components... including the ability to access your system wirelessly or add network security. Which is why I use Refined Storage in every version it's available (past 1.7.10 unfortunately) :-)
@direodogaron8867 жыл бұрын
In the newer versions of minecraft refined storage is another storage mod that is a bit easier to use. No channels and fairly simple machines to do the same tasks as AE2. It also supports fluids without needing a second mod.

Hey Etho, I hope you've already realised there are ME conduits! They come in both normal and dense versions. You can't connect fixtures to them, but for all the other cabling it makes things much simpler when everything goes through the one block. And as an added bonus you can use the facades to completely hide cables in solid blocks, which is great for using large amounts of conduits in a base without taking an fps hit!

Etho, you should make an wireless charger from enderio to automatically charge your jetpack. Also, you should probably change the priority on the storage bus on your drawer storage, just to be sure the items always go there if they can. Eventually the items in the drawers will "leak " to other storage components in the system if left unchanged.

Tips: 1) You don't need an energy acceptor or the energy cell, the ME Controller can accept power directly, you just need to connect the energy conduit to it. 4) The advanced inscriber is not sided like the AE2 inscriber, you can pipe in and out from any side and has 2 more slots for acceleration cards. 2) You can use ME Conduits or Dense ME Conduits from ender io instead of the fluix cables. They can use the same blockspace of the other conduits. 3) You should use P2P Tunnels, they really help out for organization since you can run 32 of them on 1 line of dense cables.

I know you said you weren't worried about channels at the moment, but when you eventually hit that bottleneck there is a cool trick to put several me drives on one channel. Use a storage bus connected to the controller and connect it to an interface, then connect the interface to however many drives that you feel like spending cables on. The storage bus will read the interface as if it is a chest, and the interface can interact with the me drives so in effect you can put an infinite number of drives in one channel.

You can easily start working with EMC by using energy condensers , they are not that hard to craft compared to transmutation table but they do the same thing

It's probably been said a bunch of times by now, but you can rotate the inscribers with a wrench. That way you can insert/pull items into/from the "bottom" of the block. The thing to remember is that the slots on the model correspond to the sides you can input/output to/from. Also, the inscribers should take RF directly from the EnderIO conduits, so you don't need the quartz cable to power them.

Etho! you can connect the diamond chests using sub-networks. you can put a storage bus from your main system onto an interface and it will be able to access anything on that sub-network (storage buses on the diamond chests). you can use the quartz fiber cables to only transmit power so that the two networks share power but not data/channels.

I'm not sure if it is in this pack, but Ender IO has cables compatible with ME, that fit in the same blockspace as all the other ender io (fluid power ect) cables, might help you run some lines later

Etho! the shorter and easier route to EMC madness is the chest looking condenser. What it does is it converts x item into y item as long as you have at least one of each and as long as you have enough EMC value within x item for your y item. It converts at like 1/conversion tick up until the EMC stored within is used up, which is a bit tricky to know for sure for the first condenser. The "MK2" condenser also is basically a auto crafter and will make the item all at once instead of waiting to convert. It wont keep emc after breaking, but it will be an everlasting time saver for the things later down the road. I believe it is also a quest. this method of making items will help immensely for crafting the max tier ME processors as well. Hope this helps with the end game! :)

Good luck with this kappa mode. If you want to complete all the quests sooner or later you'll have to completely change your way to think. You are gonna need to go bigger, huge, to automate the production of everything at insane rate. With your current speed you'll never go anywhere but as long as you enjoy I guess it's ok

Philosopher stone is like a minium orb but unbreakable and used in a lot of EMC crafting. The Energy Condenser is a chest with an extra slot in the top left corner which converts all items in the normal inventory of the chest into the item put in the extra slot. Transmutation table is like a book for elements and values, it allows you to put items in and save them then pull them out by sacrificing EMC of an equal value. The stone has no real use other than crafting, the chest is used for auto EMC production via energy loops or for transmuting automatically, and the table is used for personal transmutations. Also people have found ways to make EMC from nothing which although it sounds cheaty you NEED to do it right away, most of the mods are balanced around these super EMC creators so making a simple cobble stone one or even worse not using the infinite EMC machines at all will literally make this series hundreds of episodes long. Nether star plants are OP automate them and use them for EMC if you really don't want to make an infinite EMC machine that bad.

Etho probably couldn't make a living off this KZbin stuff. Most likely he has a day job and trying to do KZbin in his free time. I think he should make a patron. I'd help the guy out, he's given me so much years of entertainment. Also you seem like a good dude. KZbin give him a raise.

Hey Etho, while yes it did go right back you should still set the priority with the wrench icon so it does so consistently., trust me you will think its goin smooth, then you reload the game and suddenly stuff goes into your drives.

Etho, you should check to see if there are conduit versions of the ME cables (search conduit, as I am not sure with this modpack, but do know that this is a thing with other modpacks), letting you put it in the same block as the other Ender IO cables. And at 26:50, you could make it look nicer by just using different channels for the cable and just run one line. Last bit of advice I have is that for the inscriber automation, you can free up a side using the AE conduits I talked about earlier (if they are in the modpack) on the top of the machines to supply power, then use the sides to extract the finished product, giving it a cleaner finished look. And as always, great video. Edit: 26:50, not 25:50...

A couple things etho: There are some good designs online for inscriber automation if you are interested. Also, you can power inscribers and chargers with regular energy conduits instead of AE cables. That way you can power them on the same side that you have the item conduit. Last, you should add more crafting CPUs. You'll want more than one that way you can craft more than one thing at a time. Also, if you add more co processors to one CPU it will be able to do multiple steps at once.

Etho, if you want to simplify your conduit setup a bit, EnderIO has ME conduits that can occupy the same block as other EnderIO conduits. They're also nice because they show you the channels like smart cables.

Devices like the Disk Drive also function as a cable, meaning you only need to connect cabls to 1 of them. This applies to most machines in Block form (I.e. the block Interface connect, while the panel style interface don't transmit connection. Also connect a Storage Bus to a Drawer Controller to have full access to the whole drawer network. Set it to a high priority to make sure the ae system puts stuff in the drawers first. This is very usefull with compacting drawers giving you access to blocks, ingots and nuggets at the same time, without the need of conversion recipes in your autocrafting. Also use the concealment key on the Drawer controller to hide all labels for the drawers, as they probably aren't needed, but it saves a few fps. (Not that having labls eats that much fps, but anyway. Also molecular assemblers don't use up channels, and some people prefer a 6 interface per molecular assembler design. it might slow down crafting somewhat, but maximizes number of recipes per assembler.
