I'm too angry to write a description!! Actually I just don't really like having to come up with a new description every episode and I am making excuses... oh snap! I just wrote a description!

Has anyone noticed that when the 1.9 prereleases came out Etho always used stone brick, and now that 1.7 has come out he's been using hardened clay for a lot of stuff. He just finds blocks and get addicted to using that one block until a new block comes out.

Hey Etho. I have a suggestion for the snow theme you are looking for :) In my singleplayer world I built these amazing trees that look fantastic in any snowy area.Use pillar quartz for the trunks( they look better when they are taller and not a completely straight trunk) and then use ice/packed ice for draping leaves that hang at varied heights. Thanks for considering! Love you and your vids so much.

Etho, I think the last size of hexagon was a little too small - it makes no sense to make a single-hexagon room with it, because it'd be too small on the interior. I think you should go with the previous one (side of 7 blocks, 2 segments diagonally). This way not all rooms would have to be made of multiple hexagons, single-hexagon rooms would make sense too. Also, you should allow yourself to use one more shape: a pipe/tunnel to connect buildings that are far away. Or maybe it could be a hexagon rotated by 90 degrees (if we say that the hexagon you showed was horizontally, then this one would be vertically) ?

The proportions are off too far on that smallest size. Reducing the straight side by one more (4 rather than 5) brings it more in line with a regular hexagon. Math: A reg. hexagon can be cut into 6 equal equilateral triangles, with each side being equal to the length of one side of the hex. The distance between two opposing points will be that side x2. The distance between two opposite (parallel) sides can then be found by way of the Pythagorean Theorem (_a_^2+_b_^2=_c_^2). In this case we know _c_, and _a_ is 0.5 _c_, so use _c_^2 - _a_^2 = _b_^2. 16-4=12, and the square root of 12 is 3.46. Double that to get 6.92, or nearly 7. With sides of 5, that would be 8.66, more awkward by far.

Funny description :P To add to your idea with the hexagon houses I think it would be pretty cool if you used different colors of clay for each house and then used dirt, snow and/or podzol on top of the houses with leaves around maybe vines too? to make them seem older looking I think it would be a good look. Oh any maybe also incorporate some stonebrick/cracked stone brick/planks to make it look like they've been repaired? You know, with those harsh snow storms up in Ethopia :P But of course its up to you, I'm sure whatever you do it'll look great! :)

The sides of your hexagons that line up with the Minecraft block grid are too long compared to the other sides. This is true of all three sizes of hexagon that you proposed (the ones in the Nether farm are fine).
